Letter of acceptance and refusal

Dear Chi

I had been a little upset to wait for your reply. I was very happy to receive your letter
yesterday and I decide to confirm you immediately. It’s very nice of you to invite me to
your dinner party and arrange for my staying at your house. There’s no reason to refuse
such a lovely invitation from such a thoughtful friend. I’ll come early and help you
prepare for the party. I’m sure it’ll be wonderful.

See you then

Love,

Phuong.

Dear sir or madam

I am visiting England in next two weeks and going to a Shakespeare play is one of our
activities. Thus, I write this letter in the hope of knowing more information about it.
The exact date of our arrival on England is 28th Dec. Could you please tell me whether
there are any performances on 29th Dec and 30th and what they are. Could I also have
details of the date and time in which they start and end on these two days to make it more
convenient for me to arrange my trip?

I’m still in Vietnam at the moment so the only way to book some tickets is through the
Internet. Could I have the address of the website in which I could do my booking?
Besides, I also want to know about prices and form of payment. Do you theatre offer a
discount for people who books about 10 or 15 tickets in bulk? If I have to pay on credit,
pls give me an account number so I could send my payment to.

This will be the first time I go abroad and I’m particularly interested in a play on your
theatre. There are so many details that I have not known clearly. I hope to be clarified
about them in your reply.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully.

Chi
