All teams have to submit a report on HR policies and practices adopted in any company of their choice
on or before 18th march by 5.00pm. The report will be evaluated for 20 marks.
The report should not exceed 50 types A4 size pages and should be confined to the following pattern:
1. Executive summary; A brief description covering the purpose, methodology, and conclusions.
2. Introduction: Brief description of the company chosen which should include its history, business,
organization, products and services, technology, strategy, competitors and financial performance
etc.
3. HR systems: HR organizations, recruitment and selection, performance management, training and
development, compensation and Industrial relations
4. Strategic alignment: Strategic alignment of HR practices with overall business strategy
5. Discussion; Your views on HR practices and suggestions
6. References
Steps
1. Chose a company on which you can collect enough information through web, electronic data bases
like EPSCO, PROQUEST etc, books and cases, news paper and magazine reports, personal interviews
(face to face or through e-mail).
2. As a group study and review these sources and record relevant information
3. As a group discuss and formulate a report
4. Type and submit the report
