Training Course for Testers

Introduction
This course has been designed to improve active (and passive ??) QA standards in
Telstra. At the completion of this course, a trainee is expected to have a better
understanding Telstra Testing and Quality Assurance standards, relevant resources such
as check lists, guide lines, standards, paradigms and best practices, Milestones and
deliverable, etc..

Scope
Active QA activities (Testing) of Telstra software program products.

Audience
Testers (for functional test, progression and regression tests, TDP milestone, defect
management system, automation, relevant internal resources, stubbing resources
available, aligning data, etc.) and

Technical Tester (For technical test requirements)

Developers (for unit testing, getting test data, meta data, infrastructure interfaces,
configuration management, etc. best practices, relevant internal resources)

Course Outline
Building Vocabulary: QA and Testing related terms.
Various types of testing – their coverage, deliverables/artefacts, relevant metrics, their
reference/milestones in TDP, their interactions with ITS Infrastructures and
Technologies, auditing requirements.
Relevant tools, technologies and available QA related resources at Telstra and web.
Testing methodologies and paradigms.

Quality Assurance component in TDP.
