Answer any FIVE Questions
All Questions carry equal marks

1. A fixed point is 75mm from a fixed straight line. Draw the locus of a point P moving such
a way that its distance from the fixed straight line is (a) twice its distance from the fixed point
(b) equal to its distance from the fixed point. Name the curves.
2. Draw a CYCLOID given the diameter of a rolling circle as d=30mm. Draw a normal and
tangent at any point on the curve. [16].
3. A hexagonal prism of base edge 30 mm and height 70mm long is resting on its rectangular
face on the ground with its axis parallel to the VP. A square prism of 20 mm base edge and
height 40 mm rests on its base on the top rectangular face of the hexagonal prism. The axis of
the square prism intersects and bisects the axis of the hexagonal prism when produced. One of
the base edges of the square prism is parallel to the VP. Draw an isometric projection.
4. Draw the elevation, plan, left and right views of the part shown in the figure. (All
dimensions are in mm). [16]

5. Draw the elevation, plan, left and right views of the part shown in the figure. (All
dimensions are in mm).
6. A circle of diameter 30 mm rolls on a flat surface without slipping. Trace the path of a
point lying on its circumference for one and a half revolution of the circle. Draw a normal and
tangent to the curve at a point 20 mm above the directing line.
7. Draw the ISOMETRIC view of a hexagonal prism, with side of base 25mm and axis 60mm
long, the prism is resting on its base on H.P. with an edge of the base parallel to V.P.
8. Draw the ISOMETRIC view of the part shown in the figure (All dimensions are in mm).
