g After years of disturbance and mismanagement within
the company, Warid Telecom seems to be in safe hands after
Dhabi Group announced on 8th of January the appointment
of Mr. Zouhair Khaliq to serve as Executive Director and rep-
resent the Group on the boards of Warid Telecom, Wateen
and Wincom, while Mr. Naeem Zamindar will hold the posi-
tion as CEO of Wateen.
In his media statement Chairman of Abu Dhabi group,
Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan said, “Both Zouhair
and Naeem are visionaries, and competent executives, and
are highly qualified. Each will continue our Group's strong
commitment to the Pakistani market and the people of Pak-
istan. They lead our efforts to enhance our operations
and improve our organizational effectiveness. For us, at
the Abu Dhabi Group these new business leaders repre-
sent the next generation of senior executives whose
focus will be on setting corporate strategies and policies,
providing exceptional service to our customers and creating
value for our shareholders in times of constant change".
The decision came following the annual report released
by PTA in which Warid Telecom is shown to have achieved
negative growth in the year 2009-10 losing 0.9 million cus-
tomers and bringing market share to 17.1 percent from 18.9
% in 2008-09.
Sources confirm that negative growth of the entity isn't
the only reason behind management change. Serious man-
agement issues during the tenure of Mr. Pervez Shahid and
Mr. Bashir Tahir caused Abu Dhabi group to face legal notices
from various vendors apart from continuous declining rev-
enue, loss of customer's trust and brand image which left no
other option for the top man but ask for the resignation from
both the gentlemen responsible.
Contrary to the market impression, media statement has
also clarified that Mr. Bashir and Mr. Parvez never performed
as the directors of the group. They were the employees and
the replacements were being arranged.
A source closed to the matter on the condition of
anonymity disclosed that after Marwan Zawadeh left Warid
Telecom from the post of CEO, Abu Dhabi group had started
the external auditing of Warid, Wateen and the sister con-
cern Wincom through an Indian audit firm since the start of
January 2010. The reports of audit firm never matched with
the artificial records provided by earlier management.
With ever deteriorating performance after a successful
start, Abu Dhabi group started selling its telecom operations
in 2009 and 2010 on global level and managed to sell its
African and Bangladeshi operations partially. After various at-

tempts management at UAE failed to
merge Pakistani operations with several
interested groups including Telenor,
PTCL, CM-Pak because of alleged resist-
ance from Parvez Shahid and Bashir
Tahir.
According to reports, In order to
straighten things up, Mr. Nahayan es-
tablished a contact with Mr. Zouhair in
order to take charge of the affairs who is
determined to turn around the entire
situation of Warid with in 6 months. He
has also asked an 18 months period to
turn Wateen into profitable entity. Cur-
rently, he is taking actions on emergency
basis in order to fulfill his commitment
on time.
The emergency can be felt from re-
cent incident when Mr. Shahzad Rauf,
head of Strategic Affairs at Warid was
stopped by the security staff from enter-
ing his office. Every thing at his office
had already been confiscated and he
was asked to leave the office without
giving any reason.
Industry analysts are expecting mas-
sive layoff in the month of January from
all three companies. Media release from
Abu Dhabi Group stated that Wateen
will be run by Mr. Naeem Zamindar but
it did not confirm the future of Mr.
Muneer Farooqui who was appointed
CEO by Mr. Bashir Tahir in 2010.
In his official statement Mr. Nahayan
further said, "Our Group is committed to
providing the resources necessary for
the highest quality of operations. By
these appointments today we renew our
commitment to the people of Pakistan
that we will honour their trust with con-
tinued hard work and dedication. The
Abu Dhabi Group and I have been doing
business in Pakistan for many years and
we look forward to being here for many
years to come. We value greatly the ex-
cellent co-operation we have from our
Pakistani brothers and sisters. We are in-
spired by the warmth, good will and col-
laboration we receive at every level. We
are proud of our accomplishments and
for the reputation we have earned".
This clearly shows that the Chairman
has thrown his weight behind Mr.
Zouhair Khaliq and his plans.
Pakistan produces and export mini-
mum commodities because our policy
makers do not bother to pay attention
to fix our deteriorating condition. We
have been relying on foreign invest-
ments for decades. Telecom annual re-
port of 2010 shows minimum foreign
investment in the year 2010 which
should be a matter of concern for all of
us. We are struggling with our reputa-
tion for which we blame our rulers. We
need to see the enemies in the guise of
friends as well who frighten foreign in-
vestors in Pakistan and eventually cause
the masses to suffer.
A brief background of
Mr. Zouhair Khaliq
Mr. Zouhair Abdul Khaliq's recent
appointment is preceded by his long
lasting relation at Orascom.
He was appointed as the CEO of Mo-
bilink on June 1, 2003. From mere under
1 million subscriber base he raised the
figure to 30 million at the time he was
elevated to the group level at OraCap.
Prior to Mobilink, he was the Executive
Officer, Operations for Orascom Telecom
in Cairo, responsible for Strategic Plan-
ning, Commercial Operations, Technol-
ogy, IT, Human Resources and Corporate
Governance for the group's telecom and
technology companies. Earlier in his ca-
reer with Orascom he held the position
of CFO for the Orascom Telecom Group.
During his tenure with OTH, Mr. Khaliq
successfully led negotiations on debt re-
structuring with OT’s banks and princi-
pal vendors, developed and successfully
implemented OTH's new operational

management strategy, built an efficient
and high caliber Operations Control
function and team, reorganised Board
governance in its subsidiaries and imple-
mented closer monitoring and control
systems. Mr. Khaliq also represented
Orascom Telecom on the Boards of its
subsidiaries in Algeria, Tunisia and Pak-
istan.
Mr. Khaliq, a qualified Chartered Ac-
countant from the United Kingdom, has
served in senior management positions
at Motorola, Mobilink, Millicom, ICI Pak-
istan and Price Waterhouse. Before join-
ing Orascom Telecom he served as Chief
Operating Officer for wCities, a location
based information service provider in
the UK. During 1996 through 2001,
while based in the UK, he served as Sen-
ior Director of Regional Operations for
Motorola's Europe, Middle East and
African telecom networks, where he rep-
resented Motorola's interests on the
Boards of several companies in the re-
gion including MobiNil in Egypt and Mo-
bilink in Pakistan. During his career with
Motorola, Mr. Khaliq held leadership
roles in the launch of several cellular op-
erations including Mobilink in Pakistan,
Fastlink in Jordan and MobiNil in Egypt.
On the other hand, Mr. Naeem Za-
mindar was the second executive who
was hired in Mobilink in 90s. He re-
mained with the company for over a
decade and proved his potential under
the supervision of Mr. Khaliq.
When Mr. Zouhair Khaliq left Mo-
bilink, Mr. Naeem was highly ignored by
the top management. He was made to
stay in the company without any assign-
ment and portfolio for a year before he
eventually resigned.
It is expected that Mr. Khaliq and
Naeem will gather more of his past
team members to face this immense
challenge. g

g While Pakistan is making a his-
tory on achieving 100 million subscrip-
tions, a large number of telecom
experts (so called) and media are criti-
cizing and questioning the credibility of
the figures quoted by the industry and
the Authority. With the current situa-
tion of our economy in particular and
country in general, any such achieve-
ment is neither expected nor antici-
pated from any other sector of the
economy.
Pakistan is homeland to 165 million
people spread across length and
breadth of the country. The economy is
not very well documented where even
for population count we have ten differ-
ent figures quoted by Government,
Non Gov. Organizations and foreign or-
ganizations. The data scams are, for
general information, a common phe-
nomenon around the globe and even
prevail in the most advanced
economies.
To give our readers a precise round
up of telecom sector achievements, it is
one sector of the economy that has
brought in a Foreign Direct Investment
of over US$ 6.3 billion in last 5 years, a
share of over 30% in the total FDI enter-
ing in the country (2005-2010). The sec-
tor has contributed over Rs. 500 billion
to the national exchequer in the form
of taxes and duties in the last 5 years
that shows over Rs. 100 billion per year
to FBR. Financial size of the sector is
over Rs. 357 billion. Social benefits of
growth in telecom sector are known
and visible to everyone as even a house

are terms that are used globally as
indicators of more or less the same
thing or may be to reach same num-
ber. Organizations like International
Telecommunication Union (ITU),
Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT),
Association of GSM (GSMA) and
LirneAsia are concentrating their ef-
forts on streamlining these parame-
ters to define rules for subscribers,
SIM and subscription count.
Around the globe, large number
of European countries have gone

and some countries in Asia also

over 100%. These countries include

the age of 18 years (who have no NICs
thus no record). Therefore there is as
such no formula or rule of thumb de-
fined so far to exactly calculate actual
subscriber number if total SIM count is
known. i.e. for every one person we
take two or three SIMs.
Pakistan Telecommunication Au-
thority (PTA) maintains a database of all
telecom indicators and a full direc-
torate is designated for collecting
(Local) and disseminating (Local, Inter-
national) all and every data related to
Pakistan telecom sector. The authentic
and cross checked data available with
PTA related to all telecom indicators is
since year 2000 till now. All the data
which PTA collects is taken from the pri-
mary sources e.g. operators, Federal
Board of Revenue, Ministry of Finance
etc. and according to international
standards kept for data authenticity,
data collected from primary source has
minimum margin of error. In order to
remain current with latest develop-
ments in ICT indicators PTA officials are
also sent for professional development
courses on indictaors (ICT).
Since Active Subscription has been
an important and critical parameter
around the world, companies, regula-
tors and ministries have been working
on it very seriously. In this regard, a tai-
lored definition according to the re-
quirements and availability of data is
formed and implemented accordingly
by operators, regulators etc around the
world. Regulators collect data according
to it and operators provide data accord-
ing to it. In case of Pakistan, PTA con-
ducted a study on calculating Active
Subscription and floated a consultation
paper in the industry, with recom-
mended definition for Active Sub-
scribers, for comments and suggestions
(same is available on PTA website for
viewing). In this regard after delibera-
tion and discussions a standard defini-
tion was mutually agreed and approved
by the Authority. The operators were
asked to implement the definition and
provide the Active Subscribers data to
PTA on the basis of that definition. Later
a certificate for implementation of defi-
nition and provision of data on that
definition was also requested from op-
erators (all have provided). Now PTA
along with huge number of other indi-
cators, also collects data of Active Sub-
scribers from operators, who provide
them according to the definition. While
implementing the Active subscriber’s
definition, operators have gone
through a process of data cleaning in
which Inactive subscribers were
chucked out of the systems of opera-
tors. This exercise resulted in decline in
the number of total active subscribers
of each operator (See month-wise oper-
ator-wise subscribers on PTA website).
According to the numbers that PTA re-
ceives every month the sector now
holds total mobile subscription of over
100 million which is growing every
month.
Therefore PTA collects data of Active
Subscription from primary source, ac-

cording to the approved definition
based on international standards under
the certificates of commitments re-
ceived from all operators. The approved
definition says “A Subscription would
be counted as “Active Subscription” if
the subscription that is registered in
the internal subscriber system of mo-
bile service provider (i.e HLR) makes any
revenue generating activity including
Outgoing (Voice Calls, SMS, MMS), In-
coming (Voices calls) and Others
(Recharge activity, Roaming services,
Data transmissions including GPRS/in-
ternet access, data transfers, receipt
sessions), during last 90 days. In case of
no activity the subscription would be
counted off from the billing system re-
gardless of fact that subscriber has a
valid balance within prescribed time-
line of the credit at IN”. Similarly for a
count of Inactive subscribers, the cri-
tiques should be aware of the fact that
keeping an inactive number or sub-
scriber on the technical systems and
networks of operators bear cost which
obviously is unnecessary burden.
The operators in Pakistan have done
marvelous job in taking mobile to every
nook and corner of the country. The
Government is gaining a lot in financial
terms from the sector and consumers
are enjoying a facility which is now a
necessity at lowest tariffs (as compared
to ever rising tariffs of all the necessi-
ties). Therefore commending all our
stakeholders, we endeavor to take our
mobile penetration to the level of most
advanced nations in the world. It does
not matter how people criticize our
achievement but what matters is the
sense of accomplishment that we re-
ceive from the telecom consumers
across the country and the interna-
tional recognition of our services be it
ITU or GSM association. g

smoothly change the orientation while
typing, thanks to a very responsive ac-
celerometer. Not to mention, SMS
gives you a threaded view.
Email configuration is automatic for
Gmail and shows a same level of ease
for other mail box. You can make as
many mail boxes as you want, display
them separately or even combined. You
get the same feel as you are on a PC.
There's hardly anything the HTC Desire
Z lacks in terms of email capabilities.
There are number of ways to reach
the SMS and email applications. The
shortest way is to put the icon on the
homescreen.
Videos and Audio Player
The builtin video player is the basic
one and can play 3gp, 3g2, mp4, wmv
files. No support for avi though so you
need to convert your avi movies more
often. Quality wise the player does a
better job. It handles DivX and XviD
nicely as well.
On the audio front, again its a sim-
ple player and can play aac, amr, ogg,
m4a, mid, mp3, wav, wma files. By de-
fault it displays songs by artist but you
can always change the order from the
tabs located at the bottom.
It takes few minutes to load the
music application, but in “Now Play-
ing” mode changing songs happen at a

blink of any eye. Shuffle and repeat
can be done from the two small icons
at the top corners of the player but
again you will need to wait for two or
three seconds before it gets toggled.
FM with RDS support is able to
scan everything in the air. The applica-
tion UI is clean and large, you can save
your stations.

HTC could have improved the qual-
ity of photos by improving internal pic-
ture treatment mechanism because it
does create undue noise on pictures
taken from more than 5 feet but if the
object is within the range it will not
deteriorate the quality.
Video camera records at maximum
25 fps producing 1280x720p. There
are some common features it shares
with the still camera. 6 Special effects
are available against the 12 with still
shooting.
Connectivity, Internet and
Browsing
connectivity is perfect and perhaps
the hall mark of Desire Z. Keeping
aside 3G (not functional in Pakistan)
other available connectivity modes are
Wi-fi and full DLNA support for im-
ages, videos and music, Bluetooth 2.1,
USB tethering, Internet Pass through,
microUSB and of course
GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
When USB is plugged into PC it
opens a window (Choose a connection
type) on the phone screen asking for
the task phone has to perform. Con-
nection types are, Charge only, HTC
Sync, Disk Drive, USB tethering and In-
ternet Pass through. By default Charge
Only is selected and if you do not
change the option for 3 seconds, de-
fault will be selected.
USB tethering let other devices,
such as PCs, use the high speed inter-
net connection of your phone. Yes, ap-
plicable for 3G networks. Similarly,

site job for your phone.
Browsing
Browsing on androids are becom-
ing a treat, Desire Z is no different. It
offers built-in browser along with the
Flash 10.1 support. No web browser
today can live without good flash sup-
port as you come across the flash con-
tent on almost every site.
The browser's UI is simple and
clean. While browsing address bar will
disappear and you will only notice the
refresh and rss key at the top corners.
One user friendly feature that you
use every time is double tap zooming

and text re-flow. You only need to dou-
ble tap the area of web page you like
to read and browser adjusts the long
horizontal text giving you a full view
of the text so you don't have to scroll
sideways or zoom in/out to read it.
Press and hold brings out the selec-
tion option for the text which you can
share anywhere. Similarly when you do
the same on “images”, it will give you
relevant options for saving, sharing etc.
Social Media
Name of any famous social applica-
tion that is not available in side Desire
Z. Facebook, Twitter, Peep applications
are pre-installed. They are integrated
everywhere so you can post and check
updates in the phone book, gallery, we
can say everywhere.
Your office is where Desire Z is
Most the office work is all about
Word application, Spreadsheet, PDF
and JPG. This is what an executive
come across most of the time at office.
Desire Z has a Quickoffice app, which
has support for viewing Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint, including the Office
2007 versions and it can create Office
2003 Word and Excel documents.

Sweden followed by a UK launch on January 24.
The LG Optimus 2X gets in itself a dual-core processor which en-
hances the smartphones capabilities to run multiple applications
and programs more smoothly, which isn’t possible with single
core processor phones that show screen wraps in multitasking.
The dual-core processor of the phone also lets the phone runs at
a clock speed of 1GHz at minimum power, but still enhance per-
formance, video and audio playing abilities, increase and provide

competitions like Differentiation with
Innovation (DIFFON), speed program-
ming and quiz competitions in which a
total of 50 teams from all over Pak-
istan participated during first day of

prizes worth Rs.60,000/- and
shields from the Chief Guest,
Dr. Naveed A. Malik, Rector, Virtual
University Pakistan.
The conference also contained the
multifaceted Open Source Series Work-
shop (OSSW-10) on first and second
day of the 3 day event. A total of 12
workshops were presented by differ-

purpose of this activity was to bring

around the world related to academia
and industry on a single platform

Q: Please share how you became an
industrialist?
I am a simple Pakistani and a hum-
ble Muslim. My career started with the
logistics business when I formed a
company by the name of Trafco. In its
early days, Trafco mostly performed
the custom clearance activities and
then we gradually moved towards in-
ternational logistics. In all these years I
have regularly visited international
conferences on logistics and learned a
lot from there.
Reason behind learning new tech-
niques was to implement them in my

own country which will eventually play
a role in our economy. This was my vi-
sion to support my local manufacturers
so that could maintain a smooth busi-
ness relation with their foreign part-
ners. Time has proven that our clients
are satisfied by the services we provide
and by the grace of God Almighty,
Trafco Pvt Ltd is included among the
best companies in Pakistan.
Q: When did you start the tracking
business?
We started tracking business in
2005. Though, tracking has been
started in Pakistan in the year 1999 by
a company in Karachi but we entered
with the different approach. Before en-
tering into the industry, we studied
deeply about the demands and re-
quirements of this industry. Before we
started, it was a SMS based activity
but we were the first one to introduce
the GPRS based tracking in Pakistan.
For this we entered into contracts with
cellular operators which was not the
case before.
The benefit of GPRS is that we are
able to do real time monitoring that
means, you know all the time what ex-

actly a vehicle is doing at any particu-
lar moment.
Trafco Tracking has become Pak-
istan's largest tracking company which
is being operated from the 10 cities in
Pakistan. Where ever cellular network
is available, our service exists.
We have invested a huge amount
in infrastructure; we are the only com-
pany to have installed IBM E-Blade
Server to enhance our tracking capa-
bilities. After looking at the success
rate, most of the companies have
shifted on the GPRS model.
We are not staying here, our techni-
cal team is working on the 3G technol-
ogy and by the time it reaches here in
Pakistan, we will be able to shift on it.
Q: How do gain your client's trust?
Business is based upon the satis-
faction level of your client. With every
passing day, we gain more trust of our
clients. Being the chairman of Trafco
Tracking Company, I keep myself in-
volved personally by calling few of
clients randomly on regular basis to
know their valuable feedback. My
clients can always call the customer
services center at any time or they can
directly call me. I always thank them of
their timely feedback which has
helped us improve our services.
Q: What is your view point on RGST
and how government takes care of tax
revenue?
RGST has become an annoying
phenomenon for our local industry. I
personally think, RGST itself is not a
bad thing but the way it is being im-
plemented by our government is ques-
tionable.
This is a fact that all the developed
countries rely on taxes for their rev-
enue as there is no other way of earn-
ing but problem in Pakistan is that
only those people are being burdened
by RGST who are already paying taxes.
Secondly, government never re-
turns the amount of taxes it has col-
lected in excess from the local
businessmen. For the last 8 years ex-
cess tax collected from textile, steel
and other industries are still pending
on government's end.
How justified it is to squeeze those
businessmen and salaried people who
are already paying huge taxes, how
will they survive with this extra bur-
den?
I have been an executive member
of the federation of Pakistan chamber
of commerce and industry and also the
existing chairman of standing commit-
tee on export and trade. We have tried
our best to convey this simple mes-
sage to the government people, policy
makers but unfortunately, no one has
time to listen to our genuine demands.
Before deciding anything with refer-
ence to taxation, they never take us in
confidence.
Another thing I would like to ask
the decision makers, why to tax the in-
dustrialist only, why not the land lords
and the feudal as well?
Take an example of a textile mill in
which more than 10,000 workers are
working on each shift. That means
more than 30,000 families are associ-
ated with the survival of that particu-
lar mill. If that mill stops working due
to the prevailing energy crisis in Pak-
istan, what will happen to those fami-
lies and how that mill will be able to
pay taxes. And it is happening now in
Pakistan.
It is our request to reconsider its
policies and do a little sympathy with

government keeps the vision to in-
crease our exports. You can maximize
the foreign exchange with the help of
good exports.
US and the European countries
have started canceling our orders be-
cause we are unable to meet the dead-
lines of our foreign partners due to
energy crisis and law and order situa-
tion.
Government is happy to announce
that export figures have reached al-
most 15 billion. This is not the true pic-
ture. It has swelled only because of
exchange rate. Currently US dollar is
equal Rs. 86, few years back it was Rs.
56. But I can tell you we can double
this figure if our government starts
paying attention by replacing all the

will recharge wirelessly, and will also detect when 3D content is being beamed at them and automatically switch on and off.

PTA organized a seminar on 3G
g Pakistan Telecommunication
Authority (PTA) organized a seminar in
collaboration with (Zhongxing Tele-
com) ZTE Corporation at Lahore on 3G
mobile services. The theme was “To be
or not to be is not the question: 3G is

works, devices and services in coun-

brought around development of inno-
vative new services for consumers and
greater productivity for enterprises.
Going further down the pyramid, 3G is
improving the lives of underserved citi-
zens, bridging the “digital divide”, par-

ticularly in developing countries where
teledensity and Internet penetration
are low.
On the occasion, Chairman PTA, Dr.
Mohammed Yaseen said that by the
end of 2010, there will be an esti-
mated 5.3 billion mobile cellular sub-
scriptions worldwide, including 940
million subscriptions to 3G services.
Access to mobile networks is now
available to 90% of the world popula-
tion and 80% of the population living
in rural areas people are moving rap-
idly from 2G to 3G platforms, in both
developed and developing countries.
In 2010, 143 countries were offering
3G services commercially, compared to
95 in 2007 towards 4G: a number of
countries have started to offer services
at even higher broadband speeds,
moving to next generation wireless
platforms. PTA will also be organizing
a conference on “Opportunity for all –
Development of 3G” on January 11,
2011, he added. During the seminar
Chairman PTA delivered also a com-
pressive presentation to highlight the
worldwide practices regarding 3G
services and the case studies thereof.
Mr. Cao Long, of Wang Li Heng, Mr.
Rahel Kamal, representative of Qual-
com also made presentations high-
lighting impact of 3G services. During
the seminar speakers of national and
international fame focused on the
benefits of 3G to: businesses, educa-
tion, government, national economy,
urban/rural populace, indigenous soft-
ware houses and local contents devel-
opment. On this occasion all five
cellular mobile operator signed MoUs
to boost localized applications, con-
tent and services.
It may be mentioned that most of
telecom operators world-wide have al-
ready embraced the 3G technology,
enabling them to provide their cus-
tomers with diverse and rich voice and
data service, thereby sparking social
and economic growth and increasing
their revenues. 3G Mobile Broadband
is an important step in modernization
of mobile telephone system. With the
launch of 3G, in future, Pakistani cell
phone subscribers will be able to
transmit and receive high speed data
through their mobile phones. High
speed data means possibility of video
calls, internet browsing and down-
loading at a much higher speed which
also includes usage of data intensive
applications. g

PTCL upgrades customers contact centers

g Pakistan Telecommunication
Company LTD (PTCL) has upgraded its
contact centers for the maximum facil-
itation of its customers.
PTCL Contact Centers which previ-
ously were man-reliant have now been
advanced and developed into a process-
oriented Contact Centers with multi-
segmented approach to handle both
in-bound and out-bound customers ac-
cording to their needs by using state-of-
the-art technology. The Contact Centers
have been improvised by settling
guidelines together for efficiencies and
effectiveness and keeping in mind the
aim to provide First Call Resolution and
better customer services.
PTCL is also in the process of devel-
oping an effective online interface
through which customers would be
able to order PTCL’s products. This
unique web portal will enable cus-
tomers to manage their accounts and
billing as per convenience of their time
and location. Customers will be facili-
tated to submit their suggestions and
feedback regarding all services pro-
vided by PTCL. Furthermore, an online
complaint form would enable cus-
tomers to register their complaints
using web based services.
The four Contact Centers, two in
Lahore, one in Karachi and one in
Rawalpindi work round the clock 24/7,
365 days a year ensuring support to
the customers at all times with a staff
of 1200. To ensure that quality services
are provided to our customers regular
trainings are also given at the Contact
Centers and today PTCL has become
the obvious choice for people and this
up gradation would further enhance
PTCL image as a customer oriented or-
ganization.
To provide improved Customer care
in the Regions, PTCL has also estab-
lished Service Support Centers (SSCs)
throughout the country. These centers
perform core functions such as com-
munication with customers, analysis
and follow-up on faults and service
provisioning regarding all PTCL serv-
ices. The SSCs also coordinates with
local exchanges for expediting Cus-
tomer Service issues.
Hamid Farooq SEVP Business De-
velopment on the up gradation of cus-
tomers contact centers said that, PTCL
has always strived for providing its
valuable customers with the best serv-
ices and offers majority of its services
through its contact centers gives cus-
tomers the convenience of utilizing
PTCL services and products without
leaving their homes or offices.

Kingston Announces SDHC UHS-I UltimateXX

est speed class available today,

Shipping later this month,
Kingston’s UltimateXX memory
cards are ideal for the serious pho-
