TiSETTING STITCH LENGTH
“The stitch length can be adjusted between 1 and 5 mm,
+ For shortest sltch, tum dial to 1
+ Forlongest stitch, turn dial 108.
‘As a rule, ight weight fabrics take a shorter stitches.
Heavy weight faaries need longer stitches.
Most normal sewing is done with stitch length dial set at

2.2 mm, Therefore the width to eft needle is an
‘additional 2.2 mm.
ADJUSTING THE PRESSURE ON FABRIC
The pressure on the fool can be adjusted for different
\woight fabrics. The fabric should move along smoothiy
and evenly without slipping.
Stitches should be uniform in size.
‘Tha pressure on this machine is sel for sewing medium
weightfabrics,
+ For sewing light weight fabrics, decrease the pressure
(Gum screw tole)
+ For heavy weight fabrics, increase ine pressure (tuen
‘serew to right.
ROVERLOCK SEWING (1-needle, 3-thread )
This machine can also sew 1-needle, 3-thread overlook
‘sttching by removing either needle, depending on the
‘seam width you desire,
This isthe standard overlock stitch and is suitable for
‘most fabrics.
To convert your machine to a wide 3-thraad sites (7.2
mm «6.2 mm), sip the right neadlo thread just above
‘the eye of the needle. Remove the thread from the "red"
‘color coded thread guides, Remove the right needle and
tighten the right needle clamp screw. This stitch width is
‘uttable for sewing heavier fabries,
To convert your machine to a marrow 3-thread stitch (5

eye of the needle, Remove the throad from the “orange”
color coded thread guides. Remove the left needle and
tighten the let needa ciamp screw. This stitch wich is
suitable for sewing lightweight to medium weight fabrics,

8NARROW AND ROLLED HEMMING
By changing the throat plate to “Rolled Hem: Throat Plate” and using right needle only, the machine trims fabric,
folds back the edge and cows a narrow hem {overedge). The width of the narrow overedge Is 1.5 mm (about

“Two variations ofthe rolled overedge hem can be sewn with this machine by changing the thread tensicn.
Both methods are used with light and madiurn weight fabrics,
Method B gives a softer finish by pulling the iteriacking threads to the wrang sida.
