S E AL H O M E A C T I V I T I E S F OR PAR E NT S T O US E - GOOD TO BE ME!

Good to be me 9—Pamper cards
Think about something that would make you feel pampered and good. This might be reading a story, having tea in
bed, having a relaxing bubble bath, watching your favourite film or cartoon. Help each other to draw or write about
your favourite thing on your pamper card. The whole family might want to join in this activity.
When you want to use your pamper card, hold it up and say: ‘My pamper time.’ The other members of the family
should respect your pamper time and help you to make it special.
You can only use your pamper card once a week.

Please check that all your child’s school uniform, coats, packed lunch boxes etc have name labels in &
that you don’t have any items not belonging to you. Some children have mislaid items with names in.

ICT Training for Parents

Miss Cross recently organised for our parents a short ICT training session on how Espresso
is used in school and how it can also be used at home. It is a web based site that the school
subscribes to and is used throughout the school from Recep-
tion to Year 6. It provides up to
date news items suitable for
children; video clips and other
resources are available in all
curriculum areas.

Compliments
Well done to our Year 3 and 4 staff and children who recently went on school visits to
London Museums using public transport. Both year groups were complimented on their
exemplary behaviour by Museum and British Rail staff.

Building News
As many of you will have noticed, the infant block is really taking
shape now after the crane delivered the roof trusses last week.
They hope to have all the timber work complete by today. So we
can’t wait to see how much will be done after the holidays!

Governor News
Our Governors were pleased to meet so many parents face to
face this week at open evenings and proudly distributed their
first newsletter. Many thanks to Mrs Riley for hard work
putting it together. The refreshments provided were also
welcomed by many parents who had come straight from work.

FOB News
Many thanks to Mrs Buckner and friends for all the hard work that went
into the FOB Pamper Night. There were a range of stalls offering
manicures, massages, along with clothes and some very impressive flower
arrangements being sold. It raised over£370 and was enjoyed by all
there.
