Apologies for the delay in sending out
the previous Newsleter. We experi-
enced some technology issues and

fant and Lower Key Stage 2 play-
grounds in the morning.

Your Chance to Win a Medal and Have Fun with Reading this Summer!

Have you received your free invitaton to take part in the Mythical Maze Summer
Reading Challenge? Please go to any West Berkshire library including the mobile
libraries to collect a free Reading Log and the 1
st
book(s) to read. You dont have
to remember to take your invitaton, but you do need to bring your library card or
to join the library if you need to.
For every library book you read you will receive stckers, afer 2 books a fortune-
teller and afer 4 books a puzzle. Your Mythical Maze Challenge is complete when
you have read six books.
You will be rewarded with a Mythical Maze cer-
tfcate, a medal and a voucher for a free family
entry to 4 Kingdoms and a voucher for free child
entry to Beale Park, Pangbourne from your li-
brary. You will also complete your set of Super
Munglers Trumps cards enabling you to play 3
games and do a puzzle. Show your certfcate
and medal to your teacher in September so they
can see how well you have done.
Remember, it is free to join the library, to take part in Mythical Maze and to borrow
books!
A new and excitng development this year is that we will run GrownUps2 a
parents / carers Summer Reading Challenge alongside the childrens. Parents or
carers accompanying children doing Mythical Maze have their own 6 book Reading
Challenge. Find out more at your local library.

Transiton Day
Just a reminder that this will take
place on Thursday (with the excepton
of Mr Caines class who met him last
week and Mrs Ardagh-Walters class
who will be remaining with her next
year). Children should enter school
from their regular routes.
Parents are welcome to come into
school at the end of day to meet the
new teacher, the existng teacher and
have a general look around.

School Meals
From September, if your child is in Recepton, Year 1 or Year 2
you can choose to have a free school meal for your child. That is
a healthy, nutritonal meal without spending a penny!

For children in Years 3-6, the price of a meal will be 2.15. This is
a 5p increase from the current cost, which is due to infaton.
The price of 2.15 compares favourably to the natonal average
price of 2.30 for a school meal.

If you are on low income, you can apply for a free school meal
by flling in the form on the Council website.

food provided by ISS for your child.

Out of Hours Clubs: Its always
great fun at the Breakfast & Afer
Hours Clubs. Recently the children
have enjoyed an American and
Contnental breakfast and had a
lovely afernoon tea.
Mr Davis and several other staf
were delighted to be invited to a
lavish cooked English breakfast re-
cently.
Our younger

Summer Acton Packs
The pack contains leafets about local atrac-
tons plus the fantastc 101 Things To Do in
West Berkshire list, which will inspire both par-
ents and grandparents to get out and about
with the children over the holidays and give
you many diferent ideas to keep the children
entertained! One of the best things about the
101 list is that at least 50% of the actvites are
either FREE or under 7.50 each so this is the
most essental bit of kit to survive the summer
holidays!
Packs are limited to just 250 and in additon to
the 101 list, the packs will include a childrens
actvity pack (drawing, puzzle, word search,
colouring pencils, and a free gif).
We are also ofering a diferent free prize draw
each week for people to enter, with prizes in-
cluding a family pass to the Craf, Bake and
Race Family Fun day at Newbury Racecourse,
free entry into the Beale Park, and a family trip
on the Kennet Horse Boat.
EVERYONE who buys a pack will also go into a
draw to win our fantastc overall prize of a
FREE family pass to Chessington World of Ad-
ventures!
The packs cost just 1 pack and will be availa-
ble from Monday 14
th
