The Town of Winfield will be conducting its regular biennial election on Tuesday, June
14, 2011. Positions on the Ballot are Mayor, Recorder and five Town Council seats. The
entire town is one precinct, and the polling place will be at Winfield Town Hall, One
Main Street, Winfield, West Virginia. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Candidate filing period is March 7 through March 25, 2011. Applications for
Candidate’s Certification of Announcement are available at Town Hall on Mondays,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Thursdays from
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Filing Fee is $ 5.00 for all positions.

Applications for Absentee Balloting are available now and we will begin receiving
Absentee Ballots beginning March 22, 2011.

Early Voting will be conducted from May 5 through June 10, 2011.
