ABSTRACT

This seminar focuses on adaptive control system, methods of adaptive

control and its applications. An adaptive control system is a type of
control system which continuously and automatically monitors the
dynamic response of a system, compares it with the desired output
and produces a constant output. The two approaches of adaptive
control are model reference adaptive control and self tuning adaptive
control. Also an adaptive control for dc micro grid of a data center is
discussed in detail. The adaptive control system coordinates the
control of converters, sources and switches used in dc micro grid. The
adaptive control system is tested in simulation software packages
PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results explaining how the adaptive control
system affect voltage and current transients are also presented here.
