Dear Reader,
Today I’m going to tell you about the 15 barber power words. The 15 power words are Analyze, Summarize,
Trace, Evaluate, Infer, Describe/Visualize, Predict, Explain/Support, Compare/Contrast, Advise/Elaborate, and
Formulate. Analyze means to break it down/summarize for this we had to make an outline for a book of our
choice. Trace means to list the steps; for this we had to get the video that we made about our book from school
tube and put it on our website. Evaluate means to judge; for this we had to upload our book review to Scibd
then we had to put it on our website. All of those were really hard and took many days.
Infer means to read between the lines. For this we had to upload the comic strip from Mrs. Watts jump drive and
upload it to Scribd and onto our website. When we made the comic strip it was pretty fun to do, it was about Athletic
Shoes. Describe means to tell about, Visualize means to form a mental picture for this we had to make graffiti pictures
on the internet and put them on our website. Doing the graffiti was hard on the computer, because it was hard to
control the mouse.
Predict means to guess what will happen next, for this we had to do an anticipation guide on the book Athletic shoes.
Then we had to upload it to Scribd and put it on our website. Compare/contrast means to tell how they are the same
and different for this we had to upload our compare and contrast map to Scribd and onto our website. Advise means to
recommend and Elaborate means to tell me more. For this we had to upload our other letter to our website. Explain
means to tell how, and support means to back it up. This is the letter that we are doing now. Those were the 15 Barber
Power Words.

Sincerely, Samuel Okodua.
