Today’s lesson – Never Take or Believe in Shortcuts 🛣️😵

My buddies and I chose to take a shortcut that we believed to be the right one while out
trekking on a nearby mountain. It appeared that our shortcut was taking us on the longer
route after several hours of walking. After a while, we understood that the actual route was in
the other way. We were completely exhausted by the time we reached the top after walking
miles in the wrong direction.

To make matters worse, it began to rain 🌧️ just as we arrived at the top. All of us were
hoping for a spectacular viewpoint and some amazing sunset shots, but instead we were
stuck in our soaked clothes with little to show for the exhausting climb (T-T). Never gonna
forget this one for hell of a long time.

While camping 🏕️ with my group of friends this weekend, we decided to go stargazing. We

had brought a few flashlights, but none of them could dominate the darkness. After a few
minutes, my friend came up with an idea to build a DIY star projector. He grabbed some duct
tape and a few pieces of cardboard, and with a little hustle, he managed to create sort of a
makeshift projector 🌟.

We all huddled around the projector and were awestruck. We took turns searching the night
sky and pointing out the constellations. We were very proud of the projector and felt like little
scientists ha-ha! Little did we know, we had projected a huge, green, alien face on the side
of the van parked next to us! BOOOOOOOOO 👻 We all freaked out and ran in different
directions! After a few minutes of hiding, we realized it was just our projector, and had an
epic laugh about it. It is now amongst our favourite camping stories! 🤣

Laugh it off to Knock it off

Once me and my friends decided to attend a college party early to get the best spot to have
fun. We sneaked out of our dorm rooms and made our way to the party while avoiding
getting caught by the Warden. Once we got to the party, we realized that we were all
dressed up way too nicely. We had all worn dresses, whereas all the other people at the
party had on casual clothes. We all looked a little stupid standing there and everyone in the
room was staring at us 😏

So, we decided to make a joke to lighten the mood. We started dancing like crazy and
singing a parody version of Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk”. Everyone started to laugh, and
soon enough we were the centre of attention. We even got a few invitations to stay for the
party! 🕺🪩

The moral of the story is that no matter how embarrassing a situation seems, there is always
a way to laugh it off.
