Problem

Would mold grow on

bread fastest under a black
light, a normal light, or no
light?
Hypothesis
Mold would grow fastest
with no light.
Biblical Application
This bread of ours was warm when
we packed it at home on the day
we left to come to you. But now
see how dry and moldy it is.
Joshua 9:12
Abstract
Six pieces of bread were placed in separate bags and then put
evenly into two boxes. Two more pieces of bread were put in each
box. A black light was put in one box, the second one had no light,
and an incadescent light was put in the last, to determine if light
affected the rate at which mold grows on bread. The boxes were
put outside. On the third and fourth days water was added to the
boxes as an attempt to not let the bread dry out. After six days
none of the bread had grown any mold at all. The slices of bread
not put in a bag were dry and cracked. The slices in the bags were
moist, but not moldy.
