ACTIVITY 3.
1. Now, you are going to cook your own solar system... to cook? that´s right!!! 

 Solar System Sugar cake - Recipe 

 Ingredients: 

 -225g butter, softened, plus extra for greasing 225g caster sugar 4 large free
-range eggs 100g self-raising flour
-1 tablespoon baking powder –
2 tbsp (tablespoon) cocoa powder A little milk 

 For te icing 250g butter, softened 175g icing sugar 

 Method 

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan160°C/gas

2.Grease 2 x 20cm sandwich tins with a little butter and base line with baking
paper. In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar with an electric hand whisk
until light and fluffy. 
3. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Sift in the flour, baking
powder and cocoa, then lightly fold into the mixture. 
4. Add a little milk until you have a dropping consistency, then divide between the
tins. 
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out
clean. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool
completely.
6. In a bowl, beat the butter and icing sugar together with an electric hand whisk
until light and fluffy, then fold in the melted chocolate. Spread some icing over 1 of
the cakes, top with the other cake and the rest of the icing. 

IMPORTANT SYSTEM IDEAS: Demuestra tu creatividad haciendo las

circunferencias del sistema solar con el glaseado blanco y los planetas con
galletas, frutas u otro alimento que haga ver diferentes a los planetas y el sol, si no
tienes todos los ingredientes, sé ingenioso, debe ser un pastel de chocolate o
negro haciendo alusión al sistema solar con lo que tengas en casa.
Debe ser comestible.

ACTIVITY 4.

Alguien debe ayudarte a tomar fotos del proceso que realizas, para que
posteriormente, en power point, Word o canvas, hagas una presentación con las
fotos del proceso y debajo de cada una de ellas, escribas las instrucciones de lo
que hacías.
¡Recuerda tomar fotos de quién se comerá el pastel! Si hay niños en casa,
explícales en inglés o comparte vocabulario con ellos.

2. Elaborarás en inglés y a mano, un mapa mental (ilustrado) sobre el tema,

pensando en cómo lo explicarías a un niño. Si lo prefieres lo puedes
elaborar digital.

Si lo realizas a mano, tomar fotografía de la evidencia, de lo contrario,

compartir en link o el documento.

ACTIVITY 3.
Now a science experiment that use school supplies
Creating 3 types of Rocks activity
Supplies
 Pencil sharpener

  Large Cup or Bowl
 Old Crayon Shavings

a) Creating the Sedimentary Rock

Sedimentary rocks are formed from pre-existing rocks or pieces of once-living

organisms. They form from deposits that accumulate on the Earth's surface. 

Of the 3 types of rocks, this is the easiest to put together.

You will need to scoop several different colors of crayon shavings into a foil baking
cup or cupcake liner.Then you will need to fold the liner in half. Next, they will need
to hold it between your hands or sit on it.

The heat from their bodies will start to melt the shavings into each other. Then set
the liner aside for a few minutes to cool. Sedimentary rock is formed when tiny
particles are layered and then compressed.
 b) Creating the Metamorphic Rocks

Metamorphic rocks are created when rocks are exposed to heat or pressure. This
exploration uses hot that has come to boil. 

You will scoop a variety of different colors of shavings into a foil baking cup. Then
you will set the cup into a bowl or cup filled with hot water.

You will need to leave the cup in the water for only about 15 seconds or until the
shavings start to melt. Then lift the cup from the cup or bowl and set it on a flat
surface.
If you want to you can have them fold the liner in half and compress the shavings
to add pressure. We left ours as they melted.
 c) Creating Igneous Rocks

Igneous rocks are formed when molten lava or magma hardened. This exploration
also uses hot water that has come to a boil. 

You can scoop a variety of different shaving colors into the foil cups. Then you will
place them in the hot water that has been poured into a cup or bowl.
You will leave the liner in the bowl for a full minute. Then the cup or liner can be
removed.

You can then stir the mixture with a popsicle stick to make sure it is blended. Then
set it aside to harden.

ACTIVITY 4.
1. Alguien te tomará algunas fotos haciendo el experimento, posteriormente te
grabarán mostrando cada una de las rocas que hiciste y explicando en
inglés el texto que está en color verde.
 2. Subirás tu video a youtube y compartirás tu link en la entrega.
