A) My Vocabulary Hanging!
Read books of your choice during the summer vacation. You may refer to the suggested readings
given below-
· Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne
· The Adventures of the Flying Magic, Jharokha series by Shamim Padamsee
· Stuart Little by EB Whiteo
· The Magic of the Lost Temple by Sudha Murthy
· White Mice by Ruskin Bond
· The Peppermint Pig by Nina Bawden
· Noddy and his Car by Enid Blyton

Ø Now find 10 new words that you have read in the books you read and write them down
on a strip of paper.
Ø Use a dictionary to find their meanings and write those down too on the strip.
Ø Fold old newspaper/magazine pages/ paper plates to create a circular shape like a plate.
Make ten of these and colour them on both sides.
Ø Next, stick the strip with the word and its meaning on the circle/plate.
Ø In a similar manner, paste the remaining words on all ten circles/plates.
Ø With help of an elder, pierce a hole in each plate using a sharp edged tool or object.
Ø Now use a strong thread to tie all the plates together giving it the shape of a wall
hanging.
And voila, your very own vocabulary hanging is ready!

Without them there would be no television, no internet or phones.

Now imagine you were given an opportunity to invent something extraordinary to make peoples’ lives
better.
