Freshman Year

I came to International High School because Mr. Yu came to Sharpstown

Middle School and described the school in a way that seemed very exciting and

something interesting to be a part of. All of my friends had planned on attending so

I said why not give it a try. Mr. Yu also told us that there would be offering a French

course which turned out to be a lie. When I came here, there was no French course

and that was the main reason I came here.

In the 9th grade, the classes that I was most successful in were mostly

English, Algebra, IPC,

Model UN, and JROTC. I was successful in these classes because they were easy and

there was nothing difficult about them. I did all of my work and that’s how I was

successful. My least successful classes were Chinese and AP Human Geography. I

was not successful in Chinese because it was a hard subject for me to memorize all

of the characters and what they mean. AP Human Geography was my worst subject

because history was not my thing, so basically I had trouble doing my work in that

class and keeping up and understanding what they were teaching.

The most memorable time I could remember in my 9th grade year was the

crazy times that we all had during school and the crazy projects that we used to

help with each other the whole time. We all made our projects fun and we also

made great memories last year. Especially during the last days of school it was fun.

We had a big field trip during the last week or the day of school we went to Kemah

boardwalk and went to a play at HBU (Romeo and Juliet). We all went to Kemah
because it was supposedly our reward of how of how good we did during the TAKS

week. In Kemah my friends and I had a really great time with all of the cool fun rides

that were there especially when we all acted silly. It was basically the best time we

have ever had in the school year.

My friends are Kathya, Katherine, Jenifer L, Francisco G, Kelly R, Willfredo S,

Ulysses M, Anthony P, Nadia, Kelly L, Imani T, Franklin D, Mark L, Ricardo,

Christopher P, Aaron. P, Erika M, Ismael, Oneyda .A and only 2of them were in

Sharpstown High. These were all of the people that I mostly hanged out in my 9th

grade year. We hanged out every morning right in front of ms patchais room. We

sat down on the stairs and talked and made jokes. We had good times there good

memories.
