The True Masculine Outfit

I believe a masculine outfit should look professional and confident. I choose to

wear khaki slacks with a green button down and a green patterned tie. I decided on a pair

of brown leather loafers to complete the outfit. I feel that these clothes make me look

more masculine than any other type of clothing. This type of outfit gives me the

confidence to give presentations and helps me to be a better businessman. I also feel that

business attire represents men by showing that they are hard working and intelligent. It

may also be perceived as being the bread winner of the home. Men have always been

seen as the main provider of the household, and I believe that this outfit perfectly displays

that look.

The whole outfit starts with my khaki slacks. These smooth pants are tailored,

dry cleaned, and pressed to accentuate the serious business side of man. I believe these

pants make me appear professional and tidy. They can match with a variety of different

outfits which makes these pants very universal.

My button up shirt is the next item to my outfit. This shirt is a sage green color

which really brings out the blue in my eyes. This shirt is also straight from the dry

cleaners so there are no wrinkles to be found. Men’s Warehouse measured me so I would

have the perfect fit shirt. I believe this shows professionalism because I took the time to

get a shirt that fit me properly. I feel this color is a very manly color because it is one of

the stereotypical colors that is perceived to be masculine. I also like this color because it

shows a more playful and creative side of me. Wearing black or dark blue may appear too
serious and prude. However, the green is still a professional color without giving off the

boring vibe.

The tie I choose is a darker sage that compliments the color of the shirt without

being too loud. I feel that the semi-matching colors create a neat and clean appearance

without being too flashy and distracting. Ties can tell a lot about someone’s personality

and I prefer this one because it appears to be a neutral color and pattern. Like the shirt

color, it shows a professional, yet creative side. I feel that a solid tie is too dull and a

cartoon type tie is too playful. In my opinion, this is the perfect mix of masculinity with

still having a touch of a fashion sense.

The brown leather loafers I choose finish the outfit off with a casual feel. These

shoes play down the outfit to appear more approachable and laid back. While I want to be

taken serious as a man, I still want others to feel that they can approach me without being

intimidated. These shoes are also very comfortable and that is the main reason I choose

them for a everyday dress shoe.

In my opinion, a feminine woman would wear something with soft colors. I

mostly think of dresses or skirts when I think of femininity. I feel that women look more

girly when they are wearing something with flowers or ruffles on their outfit somewhere.

I also feel that women who wear jewelry seem to be more feminine. When I think of

women’s shoes I think of heels. Girls always look more sexy when they are wearing high

heels that make their legs look better.
