ACADEMIA ANA MARIE SANDOVAL HONORS ITS FOUNDERS

AT 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

WHAT: DPS elementary school, Academia Ana Marie Sandoval, together with
its founders and community partners, celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a
community-wide celebration.

To honor the success of a community coming together, the 10th Anniversary

Celebration will include a dedication to principal JoAnn Trujillo-Hays, a poetry
reading by Ira Slotkin, performances by the Sandoval Children’s Choir, an art
happening featuring work by Sandoval students and a stirring speech by a
Sandoval alum.

WHEN: Friday, May 20th from 9:15am to 10:00am

WHERE: Sandoval Courtyard at 3655 Wyandot Street, Denver, Colorado 80211

WHO: Sandoval alumni, students, faculty and families, elected officials,

mayoral and city council candidates, DPS senior staff, members of the Denver
Board of Education, community activists, business leaders

HOW: Admission is free, and open to the public.

ABOUT: Academia Ana Marie Sandoval is a DPS magnet school providing the
unique educational combination of a dual-language learning environment (English
and Spanish) within an authentic Montessori framework. Its vision is to foster a
community of lifelong learners guided by a love of learning, interest and
appreciation for other cultures and a desire to create a peaceful world. Sandoval
