The local business that I have chosen is Jiffy Lube. This particular Jiffy Lube is located
at 1650 East Seltice Way Post Falls, ID 83854. The reason I have chosen Jiffy Lube is
because I feel that they are a perfect example for this assignment. Everyone that owns
a car or has a car needs at least one of the services that they offer. The service I want
to discuss in particular would be the oil change service that they provide. I believe that
this company’s main component would be Business Occupation. According to our text
business occupation is the acquired set of skills and abilities that allow people to create
valuable goods and services. I believe that the demand for this service is high. As I
hav3e stated before everyone that has a car needs at least one of their services. I
personally choose this business because of an experience that I had. About four years
ago I need to get my oil servic3ed on my car; I decided to go to a cheaper place. This
business that I went to is a very well known business. After they had done my oil
change my car started acting funny. I learned that this place had put oil in my break
lines. The moral of the story is although it may be cheaper, in the long run the value of
the more expensive service will probably be better.
