A.J Soulz

Strong, beautiful, emotive and versatile are some of the many things
A.J. Soulz has in common with her sound. Hailing from North London
A.j was raised in a multi-cultural household listening to an array of
sounds from gospel and highlife to zouk and soca. With African,
Caribbean and South American roots, her taste in music is as varied
as her background. Artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Mini
Ripperton, Whitney Houston and Mary J Blige helped inspire AJ’s
sound. However her nature has been compared to artists such as Eve
from Ruff Ryders and Keyshia Cole with vocal comparisons to Lauryn
Hill and Erykah Badu.
This down-to-earth songstress has a passion for life & lyrics deeply
rooted within, which blossoms in her music. A firm believer that
talent is a gift from God, AJ is determined not to put her singing
ability to waste.  AJ has performed at prestigious venues such as
the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, and the Roundhouse in Chalk
Farm.
A. J. Soulz goals are to continue to write and produce her own music,
to continue to grow and progress in her style; and ultimately to have
her ‘voice ‘and message heard all over the world.
With various projects in the pipeline, her self- titled demo will be
released this Summer 2011. Virtually incomparable to any female
artist in the UK, AJ.Soulz is very much a rough diamond waiting for
the opportunity to shine.
