    Reflection I

    In this lesson I learned that Education, Learning and Teaching requires some qualities. These are;

     Total commitment
     Total physical response
     Emotional response
     Intellectual response

    And I also learned that there are some factors that affect language learning. These are who-what-how-
    where-when and why.

    The characteristic of a language was explained in the lesson. We learned that language is systematic and
    a set of arbitrary symbols. These symbols are primarily vocal, but many also are visual.

    It is also important that our understanding of the components of language determines to a large extent
    how we teach.

    And lastly, language is essentially human, but not limited to humans.

    Learning

    Learning is acquisition or getting. Learning involves active conscious focus on and acting upon events
    outside or inside the organism. Learning can be consciously and unconsciously. For example we learn or
    acquire our mother tongue unconsciously but we learn our second language more consciously.

    Learning is a change in behavior. Learning also involves some form of practice, perhaps reinforced
    practice.
