The Concert Hall, with 2,679 seats, contains the Sydney Opera House

The Opera Theatre, with 1,547 seats, is the main performance space
for Opera
The Drama Theatre, with 544 seats, presents theatre, contemporary
dance and small scale musical productions
 The Playhouse, with 398 seats, is an intimate performance
venue presenting a mix of Australian contemporary theatre and
international productions
 The Studio, with 318 seats, is where contemporary live
performance of all genres is played out in an intimate setting
The Sydney Opera House was officially opened by Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973
