you today as we continue to learn of
the effects of the recent floods in
Pakistan.

1,600 people in Pakistan who have
lost their lives in the recent floods
and for their families and friends
who continue to mourn their loss.

Lord hear us.

˜e pray for the 20 million people
whose homes, bridges, schools,
water facilities and farmland have
been destroyed by the floods.
May they receive the practical
support and assistance to rebuild
their lives, families and
communities.

˜e pray for all the people who are
providing life-saving emergency aid
and assistance to those in need.

May their commitment be

strengthened as they witness the
courage and compassion of those
they serve.

been evacuated in the knowledge
that the flood waters and heavy
rains are approaching.

May they find safety and support

in their place of refuge.
