EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

This knowledge, perception and expectation survey is to fill gap created by our inability to collect and analyze data on the Yayaaso stakeholders as part of the 2010 stakeholders survey. This Perception Survey is intended to provide the Akyem management and other relevant stakeholders with enough information Yayaaso community knowledge, perception and expectation for and about the resettlement, local recruitment, and livelihood support programs respectively. The survey will therefore explore to what extent does Akyem stakeholders expectation influence their perception about project activities The Primary Objectives For The Survey Are As Follows: 1. Identify and understand perception and expectations of, local in particular regarding local recruitment, resettlement and livelihoods support programs discussions and processes. 2. To identify communication needs and to help manage the expectations of especially community stakeholders in Yayaaso. This survey will include selected respondents from the key stakeholder groups from Yayaaso community which includes the youth, farmers, traditional heads, assembly members, business people, artisans and traders, community stakeholder representative groups. Key Survey Indicators Community stakeholder expectation on, local recruitment and resettlement, livelihood programs. Level of awareness regarding the community outreach activities on local recruitment and resettlement, livelihood programs. Opinion regarding Akyem project and its community outreach activities on the positive and negative impacts of the project. Opinion regarding the relationship and stakeholders and how to improve it.
