FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Public Relations Organization to Hold Conference in D.C.

WASHINGTON The Public Relations Student Society of Americas annual four-

day conference will take place in Washington, D.C. this year starting on Oct. 15. Local institutions American University, Howard University, and the University of Maryland will host the festivities. The theme of this years conference, The Capitol Connection: People, Press, and Politics, promises an expert keynote speaker who is involved in all three fields. The event will take place at the Washington Marriott Wardman Hotel in the historic Adams Morgan neighborhood. Public relations professionals from a variety of fields will share career tips with students. Information sessions during the conference will give attendees a look at different aspects of public relations as a career. Collegiate and Professional Sporting will examine how public relations professionals fit into the fields of entertainment and sports, while Building Connections will give students advice on how to get the most out of networking.
