Future Mayor: Improvement

Maintaining a society is not a simple task to do. Leaders, Presidents, and Mayors have to make adjustments so it could benet not only yourself bur your citizens. It is a leaders duty to be altruistic and make decisions that one day will make massive alterations to their community. Unfortunately, when seeing your city perish, someone has to steep up for their communitys future. Therefore, if I had the opportunity to be the mayor of Richmond, I would establish a curfew for adolescents, encourage more entrepreneurs to open more businesses in Richmond, and hire qualied teachers for our public schools. rst of all, implementing a curfew for teens in our community would reduce the amount of crime. Often time, usually in the evenings, sirens are heard all over the city signifying that there has been an accident or crime. On some occasions, gun shots have been heard or witnessed from either across the street or as close as in front yards Some of the most violent incidents happen in darkness, and they usually turn our to be caused by young adolescents. Establishing a curfew for teenagers in the evenings will prevent young teens from going out into the streets late a night and cause mayhem. It will stop them from roaming around the intersections and allow them to be more active at home and enable them to do something productive. This curfew could reduce the amount of crime scenes in our city. Thus, the curfew will cause Richmond to become more of a safe environment to live in. Secondly, persuading more entrepreneurs to open more businesses will reduce the amount of unemployment in our city. For example, in Berkeley, there is a street known as Telegraph. It has a wide variety of open businesses, and since its right across the street from UC Berkeley, there are abundance of visitors wandering the avenue, looking into stores, and buying merchandise. Seeing the effects on Telegraphs prosperity could inuence entrepreneurs to open a variety of businesses in Richmond. Surely, having more businesses available will increase employment in our community, and if employment increases, citizens in Richmond would not have to rely on dangerous tasks to get money, like drug dealing, prostitution and theft. That would result in great prosperity for both Richmond and its residents. As a result, exposing businesses will raise employment in our society. Last.y, hiring certied educators in our local schools will have an extreme impact on our children and teens for instance, educators like my English teacher and the schools counselor make a positive impact in young teens lives. My English teacher evaluates our misunderstanding in grammar, vocabulary and writing and helps us work on it. Since I have been at LPS in Richmond, I have seen a dramatic change in my

writing, from being a decent writer to an effective writer. As for the school counselor, she has been incessantly working to ensure that each and every student graduate on time. Educators like this severely impact students; lives. The more positive encouragement they give out, the more effective the students life will be. By pushing students to do better, educators are setting them up for the future to reach high goals like going to college and being someone important that one day he or she will see or make change. In conclusion, hiring well-trained educators will shift the course of scholars lives. Therefore, by setting a curfew in our community, persuading more entrepreneurs to set up more local businesses, and contracting well tted educators will benet Richmonds reputation and its citizens. If we do not start making a change, then we will surely continue the cycle of poverty. Richmond will remain having crimes that are relevant to drug dealing, robbery, and harlotry. Soon all the violence and mistreatment are bound to affect our future negatively.
