HISTORY of COFFEE:

Opposing to popular perception, coffee is around us for over 1000 years. For this very reason, the majority of historians divide the history of coffee between the west and the east that's since, in the west, coffee was introduced only throughout the 18th century. But, in the east, coffee has long been recognized for its refreshing characteristics. This is evidenced by the fact that Arabian Mythology told of numerous tales and stories of a black and bitter drink, which was capable of stimulating anyones body. Its medicinal characteristics aren't comparatively new as well, that's since Avicenna, a Persian doctor and thinker, used coffee as a remedy during his time.

Still, it's extensively established from coffee history and facts, that coffee originally originated from an Ethiopian area labeled Kaffa, that is situated in Africa. The name of the place Kaffa, is also accepted as the initial origin of coffee's names, because of their resemblance and relativity. From then on, coffee gradually made its route to other countries, and in 15th century, coffee was already being traded in Europe and because of the efforts of these "coffee merchants", coffee became a part of the lives of all the people across the globe. And as we all say, the rest of this is history.

With its unexpected emergence as an admired drink, increasingly more research workers took the time to investigate in relation to the plant, and taxes for coffee was also implemented. Now that we are experiencing pleasure from coffee as it is, it will be polite to thank the efforts of the Europeans, who had been the first to entirely utilize the coffee plant, and market it all all over the globe. This is because the weather conditions in Europe favored the farming of coffee.

Have a sip. Have taste. Have a break. Knowing the excellent coffee history, we can now sit back, rest and enjoy one of the most great drinks ever introduced to mankind.
