Concerns

Resolving issues with Hyperion and IE7

Lately there several issues have been reported regarding web based Hyperion applications (Planning, HFM, Workspace) that were caused by an upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. This document provides some instructions to fix or prevent the most common causes of these issues. Typical issues are: when exporting a report to Excel, popup window appears briefly but no file can be downloaded.

Add Hyperion servers to the list of Trusted sites Open Internet Explorer 7, Select Tools Internet Options

Select the Security tab and click on Trusted sites

Select Sites

Untag the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone option if it is tagged. Add the following entries to the list of Trusted sites: *.sovion.intra 192.168.43-44.*

Click Close

Select Default level, set the slider to Medium-low

Click OK

Add Hyperion servers to exception list of IE7 pop-up blocker Open Internet Explorer 7, Select Tools Pop-up Blocker Pop-up Blocker Settings

Add the following entries to the list of Allowed sites: *.sovion.intra 192.168.43-44.*

Click Close Restart Internet Explorer and login to the Hyperion application
