Difference between Goals and Objectives In search of the difference between goals and objective I have looked into

many references and here are my findings. It is just combining what others have already said. In Wikipedia Goal and Objective is used interchangeably and is defined as : " A goal or objective is a desired result a person or a system envisions, plans and commits to achievea personal or organizational desired end-point in some sort of assumed development. Many people endeavor to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines."

Mariam Webster Online Dictionary defines goal as follow : " 1 a : the terminal point of a race b : an area to be reached safely in children's games 2 : the end toward which effort is directed : aim 3 a : an area or object toward which players in various games attempt to advance a ball or puck and usually through or into which it must go to score points b : the act or action of causing a ball or puck to go through or into such a goal c : the score resulting from such an act goal intransitive verb goalless adjective " MWOD has defined objective ( as a noun ) as such : "2 objective noun \b-jek-tiv, b-\ Definition of OBJECTIVE 1 : a lens or system of lenses that forms an image of an object 2 a : something toward which effort is directed : an aim, goal, or end of action b : a strategic position to be attained or a purpose to be achieved by a military operation."
