INTRODUCTION Imidazoline 18 DA is an oil soluble, high molecular weight, substituted amidoimidazoline, based on a fatty C18 alkyl chain. It contains a tertiary amine function which combines with acids to form amine salts and alkylating agents to produce quaternary compounds.

APPLICATIONS Imidazoline 18DA is used as an anti-corrosive and emulsifying agent in its original form, or as a salt of a high molecular weight fatty acid in both oil-field drilling muds and metal working and cutting applications

HANDLING & STORAGE Lakeland imidazolines are strong organic bases and care must be taken when handling. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided and suitable protective clothing (ie gloves, goggles & overalls) should be worn at all times. This product will be chemically stable for 12 months if stored in unopened sealed containers at temperatures between 10EC and 35EC. As Imidazoline 18DA is derived from natural products separation and precipitation may occur. If required, gentle warming of the product to room temperature with slight agitation should facilitate reconstitution.
