Basic Beliefs and Code of Ethics Mountain and Sea Educational Adventures

Our Beliefs: We believe in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in human affairs; that He hears and answers prayers. WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for all people. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for us forever. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit; who indwells us, as Helper, Teacher and Guide. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom of God. We believe that ALL PEOPLE are CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, which secures and establishes their value, yet that we also are in need of God, who regenerates by the Holy Spirit to those who call out for His love and forgiveness. We believe God gave us this earth to be good stewards and we are to care for and help repair the damage we have done to His creation. We have made the choice to be role models and understand that being a mentor is one the most powerful ways to help youth build character. As an MSA staff member we therefore will be conscience of our actions and attitudes whether on duty or off duty. Our conduct should be representative of the values of MSA and our partner organizations. We will agree to and abide by the code of ethics set forth below: As an organization we are called to teach youth to see God and His work in the midst of His creation as well as teaching our participants to be good stewards of His works on this earth. We encourage youth to be World Changers while breaking their fears, persevering and loving others. We will not engage in any mind altering substances on any MSA campus. As MSA staff members we will be in accordance with the values of intimate relationships in or leading to marriage as being expressed solely between one man and one woman. We will engage in the mentoring and discipleship program as a part of our job at MSA.
