More Than 1,000 People March In Las Cruces


Crowd Against Changing The New Mexico Drivers License Law Was The Largest Since The 2006 March For Immigrant Rights
(LAS CRUCES, New Mexico) Under a blistering sun, more than 1,000 people from Southern New Mexico marched from Apodaca Park to Las Cruces City Hall Tuesday afternoon to say no to Gov. Susana Martinezs proposal to change the common-sense drivers license law allowing immigrants to drive. The crowd, which was mostly made up of members of the Border Network for Human Rights was joined by residents of Las Cruces and about 50 people from El Paso County.
