    Ursulanians
    History
    In 1963, there were group of friends namely Leonardo Layug, Ponciano Sibug, White Cayanan and Narding Lagman who decided to go fishing. Then Leonardo Layug, the founder, thought of something that they will be called Ursulans and that is the start of their group. Ursulanians came from the saint, Saint Ursula. It is the name of their barrio and after that their first project they made was a dance party, it is called derk back then. Then others want to join the group and the first president elected was Manny Gaza in 1965. This group became popular because of their community services like managing basketball leagues and having fund raisings for building the chapel in their barrio. They are also the one who organized everything to welcome then Virgin Delos Remedios and Sto. Cristo Del Perdon when their statues visited the said barrio. Other projects are fund raising for the less fortunate and tree planting.
