Abstract
How e-Learning Projects (OWCp) facilitate the English writing process for Arab EFL learners

In 2001, my students and I participated in a distance education platform system created by Dr. Al-Jamhoor that was mentored by professors from the USA and Saudi Universities all under the supervision of Dr. Williamson. Based on Dr. Al-Jamhoor's applied research's findings, the Saudi students started to learn the language through the language. This means there is more focus on the simultaneous intercultural collaborative learning. This new approach has empowered participants from the Saudi Arabian universities and it has introduced them to new learning strategies. Among these new strategies is using the online learning tools to facilitate the writing process where students from Saudi universities started to apply peer

editing and at the same time receive multiple feedback from their American peers. This approach of e-Learning has improved Arab EFL learners academic achievements as well as it has improved their cultural, social, academic and technological skills. More importantly, this new approach has increased Arab EFL learners awareness of their learning strategies and allowed them to apply the writing process in a meaningful way. Accordingly, it is my objective to investigate the use of OWCp learning tools integrated in the Collaborative Learning Center to facilitate the English writing process and to enhance students learning strategies. I also aim to work cooperatively with the experts in the USA where I will be able to bring knowledge and technology to my university, King Abdulaziz University.
