Becak: Describe what one looks like. A becak looks like a wheelchair type vehicle with a cover.

How many people can it carry. The Becak can carry two people, one in the front driving and one on the bicycle attached to the back of the Becak. 5 dot points of other information. The Becak was banned in Jakarta because it caused traffic jams. Some people disobey that law and still use them now. They are like taxis because the driver charges a fee to take you to places. It can protect passengers during rainstorms because of the cover. It often comes in different colours. Sometimes the Becak can fit 3 people, depending on their weight. It would be a very squishy ride though.

Perahu: Describe what one looks like. A Perahu is a wooden boat, some have sails and some dont. How many people can it carry. There is really no limit to the amount of people carried, because they come in different shapes and sizes. 5 dot points of other information. The Perahu is barely seen around anymore. You will sometimes see one floating by. The driver travels from Island to Island picking up people and taking them around Indonesia.

It is a fun ride to go on if you get the chance to go on one. The Perahu is similar to a water taxi. It comes in different colours and designs.

Bajaj: Describe what it looks like. The Bajaj is bright orange and small with 4 wheels with a small door to allow people to enter and get out. How many people can it carry. The Bajaj can carry up to 5, although 2 people would very comfortable.

Other information. A noisy, bumpy ride. There was approximately 20,000 in Jakarta a few years ago. In April 2001, the government released a new 4 wheel transportation called the kancil. The ride in a Bajaj is very hot, as there are no windows to air it out. The driver takes people from place to place quickly.

Dokar: Describe what it looks like. The Dokar looks like a horse drawn cart, 2 wheels and bench seating. How many people can it carry. The Dokar can carry 2 4 people comfortably. 5 Dot points. The Dokar is also known as the delman or Andong, both of these are larger. The Dokar comes in many different colours, brightly designed. The horses that guide the carts have long tassels. Dokars are very common in Indonesia. They represent life in the olden days because of the horse drawn cart.
