    Mark Smith wakes up on the floor of a public bathroom, disoriented and confused. He sees a blurred figure of a young girl, Samara Smith, but she disappears. He hears whispering and creaking sounds. When he looks in the mirror, he sees the girl's figure behind him but she's not there when he turns around. Unable to open the locked bathroom door, he searches the stalls and finds only an empty one. When he turns back, the pale, messy-haired girl in tattered clothes is in front of him. She whispers "I told you I will find you" and reaches toward him before the scene rewinds 24 hours.

    THE UNEXPECTED

    INT: PUBLIC BATHROOM (EVENING)

    MARK SMITH is on the floor, in a bathroom unconscious MARK SMITH (28) wakes up, he is dazed and his vision is blurry. There is a figure of a girl SAMARA SMITH (13) but he cant see her properly. MARK rubs his eyes. He scavenges across the floor and leans up against a wall. MARK visions starts to restore to its normal state. He starts to get up from the floor using the sink nearest to him the figure of the girl are gone. His face is puzzled confused He starts hearing whispering of his name and creaking of the cubical doors. MARK looks around with with a look of fear on his face. He looks into the mirror on the wall, closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and exhales and open back his eyes and sees a figure of a girl behind him. He turns around suddenly and sees nothing there. He runs to the door and tries to pull it open, he tries several times but it is locked. He walks back to the cubicles slowly and cautiously. He slowly goes on all fours and looks underneath the cubicles. He sees a pair of feet. He jumps back to his feet and kicks the door open. He steps towards the cubicle shocked because there is nobody there. He turns around. He sees the little girl in front of him. She is a pale complexion and her hair is long and messy, she is wearing tattered clothes. She then whispers.

    I told you I will find you. She outstretches her arm and reaches out to him Time rewinds back 24 hours and the title screen comes up saying The Unexpected.
