FMP Synopsis

A young girl who is an aspiring artist trying to get her work published in an art exhibit but is
getting rejected due to a judge’s decision but with no actual reason as to why. She begins to try
and get a piece of art that will be accepted into the art show. She has a large pile of half-finished
and finished art pieces in a bin that have been thrown out as they were rejected and therefore
not worth anything to her because of what someone else says.

She begins to push herself to create something that is worthy of going into the art gallery. She
begins sketching different ideas and goes through lots of ideas tossing different pieces of
unfinished drawing into the bin to the point that it was overflowing with paper. The camera is
sat above her watching her draw cutting between the drawings and the bin.

Eventually she gets fed up trying to come up with an idea and calls it a night. She gets ready for
bed and goes to sleep.

In the middle of the night, she gets awoken by a strange noise. Like the wind passing by her
head. At the bottom of her bed is two glowing white eyes staring back at her. She stares at the
end of her bed, motionless, not wanting to set it off. She slowly reaches for the light next to her
bed and turns it on. Then the thing jumps at her. A tall black figure with large white eyes and
red accents to it. As it jumps at her it cuts to her waking up at around 6 am. Everything in her
room looks normal. She turns on her light again to see nothing there.

She is at her desk painting what she saw at various points throughout her painting what she saw.
The audience see the thing in the mirror in the corner of the shot glaring at her. She gets most
of the painting done and is lacking the minor details.

She gets up from her desk and starts pacing the room trying to recall what she saw. As she’s
pacing the mirror catches her eye. She goes over and looks directly at it. She eventually moves
away from the mirror, but the mirror doesn’t change it just moves to keep looking at her. She
looks back at the mirror quickly and goes back to acting like a mirror. Then she walks away and
goes to try and Finnish the painting. The mirror can be seen in the background and the thing
can be seen shifting into different forms.

In the background the duplicate in the mirror can be seen peeling of skin from her fingernail to
the second knuckles.

Sam looks down saying ow and sees that the same bit of her hand is red raw. She gets up and
goes to the sink to take care of her finger as she’s walking the mirror rolls its ankle over causing
Sam’s ankle to buckler and her to fall over in front of the mirror. She looks in shock at the mirror
that is standing above her she backs away to the opposite wall and gets her head hit into the
wall causing her to get knocked out.

After a while she wakes up and looks around to see what is around her. Everything looks
normal except the painting is finished. Sam gets up to look at the painting. She picks it up and
looks at it. The painting then gets dragged downwards aggressively giving Sam papercuts and
burns on her hands. She goes over to put something on her hands and gets tripped up. She
looks around towards the mirror. The thing that she has been painting is standing there looking
down at her. It then shifts in to her duplicate and she then aggressively stamps her leg down
breaking Sam’s leg. She tries to move away but can’t as she scrambles to get away but can’t. The
duplicate stands above her looking down at her. It grabs it head and twists it aggressively to the
side. The camera cuts to black and a neck cracking sound plays.

It cuts to an art gallery where the painting is on display in the gallery next to a bunch of other
paintings.
