1 INT. A SMALL ROOM WITH A WINDOW ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE ROOM 1
AND THE DOOR LOCATED ON THE OTHER SIDE. THERE IS A SINGLE BED
WITH WHITE BED SHEETS. BY THE WINDOW IS AN L SHAPED DESK WITH
AN EASEL ON THE DESK WITH POTS OF PAINTS DOTTED AROUD THE
DESK. THE DESK IS COVERED WITH PAINT SPLOTCHES AND THERE IS A
SMALL JAR FULL OF MARKEY WATER. WITH A SELECTION OF DIFFERENT
SIZED PAINT BRUSHES IN THE JAR. IFRONT OF THE DESK IS A SMALL
STOOL WITH WHEELS AND CAN SWIVEL WHICH CAN BE MOVED AROUND
THE ROOM. THERE IS A SMALL CARPET IN THE CENTRE OF THE ROOM
WITH A SMALL FIRE PLACE.

Sam is sat at her desk with the news on in the background on
her laptop which is to the right of her. she is sat doing the
finishing touches to the painting is working on. (a painting
that his primary made up of blues and purples)
(on screen - time 8:00pm)
the laptop blurts out with breaking news and a clip from the
BBC plays showing the news clips of the first lockdown being
announced. Sam docent read to this much.

Sam is talking to her fiend who she goes to art class.
SAM
so, they're starting up art again
through zoom. do you think it will
different.
MADDY
I don't think much will change.
she'll still be harsh as she ever
was.
they both laugh.

3 INT. THE ART DESK IN THE CORNER OF THE ROOM WITH THE ART 3
SUPPLIES ON THE TABLE. TO HER RIGHT IS A LAPTOP WITH A ZOOM
CALL WITH HER ART TUTOR AND THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE ZOOM
CALL. THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE HAVE THEIR CAMERAS OFF AND WILL
ONLY TURN THEM ON WHEN ASKED TO.
it goes through a selection of people showing of their
painting/drawings until it gets to sam who shows of her
purple and blue painting. its the first time we see it.
SAM
this is what I've been working on.
its meant to represent sadness.
ART TUTOR
Samantha it's good, don't get me
wrong. but you need to try and
experiment into other things. let o
of the control that you have and
use your imagination and mind more.
sam nods her head in rhythm with what she is saying while
trying to lo like she isn't hurt.
CAMERA MOVES BEHIND THE LAPTOP TO CUT TO NEXT SCENE

4 INT. THE ART DESK IN THE CORNER OF THE ROOM WITH THE ART 4
SUPPLIES ON THE TABLE. TO HER RIGHT IS A LAPTOP WITH A ZOOM
CALL WITH MADDY ON THE OTHER SIDE. THEY'RE DISCUSSING THE
FEEDBACK THAT SHE GOT. IT IS NOW DARK WITH A BLUE TINGE TO
THE BACKGROUND.
MADDY
do you know what she was talking
about. like, with how you should
let go of control?
SAM
I'm not sure. I'm guessing she
meant like an emotion that lacks
control.
Maddy interrupts.
MADDY
like madness, that doesn't have an
control. its how you go insane.
SAM
ok I'll have a look in a bit. I'm
probably going to go it's getting
late.

MADDY
ok i'll talk to you Monday.
sam hangs up and opens google to research into madness. she
types in depictions of madness. it loads very slowly and
loads. picture at time. it reveal images with lots of red and
white glowing eyes. she then closes the laptop and gets up to
get ready for bed.
CAMERA CUTS TO THEN PAN DOWN FROM ABOVE THE BED.

5 A SMALL SINGLE WHITE BED IN THE CORNER OF THE ROOM WITH THE 5
DOOR TO THE ROOM.
sam goes to sleep after she plugs her phone in.

cuts to a Timelapse that goes through to the middle of the

night. sam wakes up in a black and white scene. its all the
same but its black and white. the only light is from the
window. At the bottom of the bed is two white lights that
look like eyes. not much else can be seen except a faint
outline of the thing.
sam is taken aback and is cared yet curious of what it is.
SAM
who are you? what is this?
there is a deep humming sound that gets louder and higher
pitch. the thing raises up and then it cuts away with the
blink of same eyes to the same scene but this time with a
very strong colour palette of blues and pinks. there is a
faint sound of buzzing for an alarm clock. the lights are
still there but back in their original position. the same
thing happens where the lights move upwards till it over
taken by an alarm that has been getting louder and louder.
sam wakes up to her alarm on her phone saying 8am.
she gets up quickly while looking at where the thing was and
there's nothing there.

6 THE ART DESK WITH A SELECTION OF ART SUPPLIES. THE JAR OF 6

WATER IS NOW A DARK BLOODY RED.
sam makes her way over to the jar of water and looks at it
confused on the colour. she puts two fingers In the jar and
it has a much thicker texture that similar to blood.
she picks up the jar and goes over to the sink and pours it
down the sink. and fills up the jar again with fresh water.
she heads back over to the art desk.

sam begins to paint what she saw in her dream but can only
pain the eyes and a faint outline of what she had seen.
she stands up looking like she's thinking while looking at
the half finished drawing.

7 TIME PASSES SINCE THE LAST SCENE. AROUND 7PM. THE LAPTOP IS 7
OPEN AND SAM IS TAKING TO MADDY. ITS IS DARK OUTSIDE AND MOON
I SHINNING IN THE ROOM. THE PAINTING IS STILL THE SAME AS IT
WAS EARLIER.
the laptop is open next to sam and she is chatting to Maddy.
SAM
I had a weird dream where there was
a thing at the end of my bed. it
had glowing white eyes.
MADDY
that's a weird dream.
sam picks up the canvas with the partial drawing oof what she
drew and showed it to Maddy.
MADDY
that's creepy.
it goes back to the Timelapse to later in the evening.

8 ART DESK IN THE SMALL ROOM. SHE IS SAT AT HER DESK WITH THE 8
PARTIAL PAINTING IN FRONT OF HER. THE TIME IS AROUND 8PM.
sam is sat not doing much just looking at the picture while
fiddling with her paint brush. she looks at the pot of water
and it is the usual brown colour that it usually is.
she decides to try and to sleep so she gets ready for bed and
goes to sleep

9 A SMALL BLACKED OUT ROOM WITH A MIRROR ON OPPOSING WALLS OF 9

THIS SMALL BACK ROOM. THE REST OF THE ROOM IS BLACKED OUT.
THERE IS ONE HARSH LIGHT FROM ABOVE.
OPENS WITH THE LIGHT TURNING ON WITH AN INDUSTRIAL SOUND.
she looks around the small room at her reflection. it all
looks normal. she begins to panic and putting her hands on
the mirror trying to get out.

she turns around to look at the other side and the mirror
that is now behind stays the same with her looking at the
back of her head. the mirror begins to smile with a smile
that is larger than it should be.
her double behind her, moves her hand up towards the back of
the back of her head. she pushes her head into the mirror
with quite a lot of force. the mirror fractures and in each
of the fractures are the two white eyes. she walks backward
and the mirrors falls down to reveal the end of her bed with
the two same eyes at the base of the bed. this time the
thing moves upwards showing some red and white and black in
it's body. sam moves backwards but cannot move her hands are
tied to the bed. it moves closer and then begins to scream.
at this point she wakes up falling out of bed. to see that
all of her past paintings are covered in red blood. the pot
is red and the painting that she's has been working on is
done. it has a picture of what she had seen just before she
woke up.
sam gets up and walks towards the painting that loos just
like what she had dreamt about. then the full length mirror
catches her eye. it has her but just standing still staring
towards her. she moves about o see if the error will do the
same it stays still. she moves slowly and tentatively towards
the mirror. she stays standing still till sam gets to about
5 feet away from the mirror and then the mirror sam starts to
headset the mirror slowly cracking the mirror. real sam has
her forehead start bleeding as fake sam headbutts the mirror.
then she stops.
fake Sam bends down to pickup one of the broken pieces of
mirror and points it towards her inner forearms.
CUT TO BLACK
