Powercli is the added Pssnapin of Powershell. So Powershell is just enough to run Powercli cmdlets using Add-pssnapin Vmware.Vimautomation.

To know the execution policy, type get-executionpolicy

By default Execution policy will be restricted. So it wont allow to run any scripts. To know available execution policy just run something like this, you will get available policy 1. 2. 3. 4. Unrestricted Restricted Allsigned Remotesigned

By default Restricted policy, when it open powercli shortcut it opens the window with Warning message

Running set-executionpolicy to Remotesigned makes the powercli screen perfect like this
