Cream
Definition An emulsion of oil and water in approximately equal proportions which penetrates the stratum corneum outer layer of skin well.

Cold Sore An inflamed blister in or near the mouth, caused by infection with the herpes simple virus

Side effects.

Common (affect between 1 in 10 and 1 in 100 people)

Mild drying or flaking of the skin where the cream is applied.

Uncommon (affect between 1 in 100 and 1 in 1000 people)


Temporary stinging or burning sensation after applying the cream. Itching at the area of application.
Flushing of the skin due to widening of the small blood vessels (erythema). Allergic inflammation of the skin (contact dermatitis).

Rare (affect between 1 in 1000 and 1 in 10,000 people)

Characteristics
Physical Cream Form Smooth White Soft Cream Chemical pH 7 (Neutral) Poor Water Soluble Biological Aciclovir can be considered a prodrug: it is administered in an inactive form which is metabolised into a more active species after administration. Antiviral agent.

Reaction
Topically applied aciclovir does not affect the ability to drive or use machines No interactions resulting from administration of other drugs concomitantly with topical aciclovir have been reported.

Paracetamol Vitamin Tablets Cream The weight of the API (Paracetamol) is 500mg. The 70mg might be from the excipient.

Exposure to moisture and oxidation The preservative might have expired.


There seems to be a separation of oil which leads to emulsion of oil and water.
