Speednet 3.1 Solutions in SQL 2005 environment.

The following SQL 2005 configuration has to be completed in SpeedNet Server to solve the following 2 problems: 1. Fetch POS data through Net work 2. BNPL EXCEL Data File upload. Important Note: Ensure that all applications using the SQL 2005 are logged out and no such application accessing SQL 2005 is running while this configuration is done. 1. Login as Administrator to Server. Go to Start->Programs>Microsoft SQL 2005 ->Configuration Tools -> SQL Server Surface Area Configuration option. The following screen appears.

2. Click on second option below ie., Surface Area Configuration for Features. The following screen will appear.

3. Click on Ad Hoc Remote Queries and tick the check box of Enable OPENROWSET and OPENDATASORCE support as shown in the picture below.

4. Click on Apply and Ok button. You will get back to the previous screen. Select the First option ie., Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections. The following screen will appear.

5. In the above screen, click on Stop to stop the SQL 2005. (Note: As per instruction above , no application should be accessing the SQL 2005) 6. Thereafter, click on Start button to start the Server again. 7. Click on Ok.
