eQuotes All-In-One Installer User Guide (With Existing Application)

Important Note: Your Windows account must have access to do installation and uninstallation of application.

If you have an existing eQuotes Application installed in your device,

follow the uninstallation guide below to update your eQuotes version.

Phase 1: Uninstallation of existing eQuotes application and Pre-requisites (SQL) on device

A. Uninstall eQuotes system

Step 1: Open the “Control Panel” menu. You can do this by typing “Control Panel” in the search box.

Step 2: On the Control Panel menu, go to “Programs” → “Uninstall a Program”.

Step 3: On the “Programs and Features” tab, look for and select the “Pru Life UK eQuotes System” application,
then click “Uninstall”.

Step 4: A dialog box will appear to confirm the uninstallation. To proceed, click “Next”.
Step 5: When uninstallation is successful, another dialog box will appear. Click “Finish” to exit.

B. Uninstall Lower Version of SQL

Step 1: Open the “Control Panel” menu. You can do this by typing “Control Panel” in the search box.
Step 2: On the Control Panel menu, go to “Programs” → “Uninstall a Program”.

Step 3: On the “Programs and Features” tab, look for “Microsoft SQL”. Click “Uninstall”.
Important Note: If you have SQL version 2014, no need to uninstall. You may proceed to Phase 2 (page 5)

The following components must be uninstalled:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2005
• Microsoft SQL Server Native Client
• Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English)
• Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer

Step 4: After uninstalling all components of lower version of SQL, go to

“C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Data\SQLEXPRESS” and delete all files.
Step 5: Proceed to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Download the eQuotes All-in-One Installer from PRISM

Step 1: Go to PRISM website at https://prism.prulifeuk.com.ph/.

Step 2: Sign-in using your agent credentials.

Step 3: Once signed-in, click “Quick Tools” and choose “Downloadable Applications”.
Step 4: Click the “Download” button of the eQuotes application which can be found on the upper right side of the
screen.

Step 5: Once the download button is clicked, the following dialog box will appear. Additionally, you should receive a
product key on your registered PRISM email address. Proceed by clicking the “OK” button.

Note: To check your PRISM registered email where the license key will be sent, follow below steps:

1. Log in to your PRISM

Account then click “My
Profile”.

2. In “Account Details” you

will see your PRISM
registered email where
the license key will be
sent.
Step 6: The installer will automatically download. To get the license key, you need to check your registered email
address. The license key expires in 24 hours so it is important to use it immediately to avoid repeating the
process.

Step 7: Once the all-in-one installer is downloaded, make sure to extract the files. Then you may now start the
installation. <Proceed to Phase 3>
 Phase 3: Installation of eQuotes on the Device.

Step 1: Open the folder with the extracted file of the eQuotes installer. Double click on the EQS v16.2.20.03.

Step 2: Once done, click the “Next” button to setup the prerequisites needed to run the EQS V16.2.20.03 on your
device.

Step 3: Tick 1 Box (Microsoft SQL Server 2014), then click the “Next” button to proceed. Do not check the two
Crystal Reports.

Important Note: If you have an existing SQL Server 2014 installed in your device, DO NOT tick any of the
following pre-requisites, click “Next” and proceed to Step 7.
Step 4: A pop-up will appear showing the status of prerequisites installation. Do not click on the “Cancel” button.

Wait for the image shown below to pop-up. Once it appears, click the “OK” button to continue.

Step 5: Wait for the installation of SQL 2014 express to complete.

Step 6: Click on the “New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation”
option.

Step 7: Tick the 2 boxes on License Terms and click the “Next” button.
Step 8: Click the “Next” button again on the Install Rules pop up.

Step 9: Tick the boxes in Instance Features, then click the “Next” button.
Step 10: On the Instance Configuration pop up, click the “Next” button.

Step 11: Click the “Next” button again on the Server Configuration pop up.
Step 12: Click the “Next” button on the Database Engine Configuration pop up.

Step 13: Once the SQL 2014 Express is successfully installed, click the “Close” button.
Step 14: Click the “Next” button to install the eQuotes application.

Step 15: Enter your agent code, email address and product key (sent to your email address) and click on the
“Next” button.

Step 16: On the Select Installation Folder pop up, click the “Next” button.
Step 17: On the Ready to Install pop up, click the “Install” button.

Step 18: Click the “Finish” button.
