Contribution by Fredrik Taylorfather of Scientific Fredrick Taylor (1856-1915) acknowledged as The

Management He started career as a machinist in 1875. His primary concern was to increase productivity through greater efficiency in production and increased pay of workers. Taylor saw productivity as answer to both higher wages and higher profits.

His experience as an apprentice, a common laborer, a master mechanic, a foreman and then the Chief engineer gave him an opportunity to understand the problems and attitudes of the workers

He published book titled Principals of Scientific Management, in which he proposed work methods designed to increase worker productivity. Scientific Management focuses on worker and machine relationships. Organizational productivity can be increased by increasing the efficiency 4/28/12
