PACIFIC TECHNOLOGY: TABS

Setting/Moving Tabs, Inserting Headers and Footers


Directions: Create a tabulation showing hourly salaries for employees.
1. Create a new word processing document. All text MUST be Calibri size 11. (Default)
2. Turn off spacing (under “Styles”)
3. Insert a header and enter your name, right justified.
4. Set the left and right margins at 1.5” (Page Layout Tab/Page Setup/Dialog Box Arrow)
5. Set a left tab at 2.5”.
6. Set a decimal tab at 5.25”.
7. Enter the information shown below.
8. When finished, save the file as: Pacific Technology
Center Align PACIFIC TECHNOLOGY, INC.

9. When finished, highlight the table (Michael Wong down to 12.50) and move the left tab set at
2.5” to 2”. Move the decimal tab set at 5.25” to 3.75”. With the table still highlighted, set a
new left tab at 4.5”. Enter the following social security numbers for each employee:
