OBJECTIVE:

Help the UMYF discover various expressions of being intimate with God.
Strategy 1 Know how God is being intimate with us Strategy 2 Present the spiritual (Christian) disciplines. (Methodist Principle) Strategy 3 Give them opportunity to discover their own expression of being intimate with God. Strategy 4 Challenge them to "live life" more intimately with God.

Consulted Understanding the idea "Child of God" as a foundation of identity. Knowing the nature of God to see how He deals with people Knowing and "experiencing" God Dont put God in the box by just presenting in the scriptures on how He dealth with his people.

Consulted Deepening their understanding regarding disciplines. Emphasize the motive and reason why we have such disciplines. Christian disciplines are fundamental in Christian life. Categorization of ministry and discipline. Motivation of doing the disciplines (calling, ministry, excellence)

Consulted We need to validate our cries. (cries means their history why they cant express themselves) Set the boundaries, meaning being clear to the limitations about discovering their expression. (biblical context) Use 1 Corinthians 12, individual gifts and services Honoring God, lifestyle & obedience

Consulted Intimacy should have evidence and that is transformed life. Living life intimately is always a decision. Nurturing and enhancing their expressions. Show them the cry of other people "Desire God's desire" if u love God, u will love what God loves

Original Concept/ Premise God desires to be intimate with us. Present the very reason why God created man Explore some stories in scripture telling how God is being intimate with human and vice versa. Ginusto ng Diyos na maging intimate sa mga tao gaya nina (Hal: David, Moses, Jacob) upang ipakita Niya ang pagmamahal sa mga tao na kasama nila (Hal. David, Moses, Jacob).

Original Concept God has given us standards on how we could be connected/intimate with Him, ex. Scripture, Prayer, Fellowship with other believers. In our objective, we will be like giving/presenting those basic standards and let the UMYF personally discover their own expressions.

Original Concept 1. Discovering the importance of their uniqueness 2. Presenting the importance of diversity as a topic (self in our community) 3. Emphasize that discovery is eternal process, CI is just a kick off

Original Concept Part of this is challenging them also to discover their expression more as they mature in their faith journey. Challenge them to express their own self as a Christian. (that being intimate with God is a life transforming process and also a life that transforms other people's lives. Emphasize that discovery is eternal process, CI is just a kick off

4. Help the delegates to discover their own expression. 5. Relate their own discovery of expression

1. Present God as father, friend and creator 2. Study stories from the Scripture on God's act of intimacy; focus study on creation of man, fall of man, story of the cross and salvation of Israel from Egypt

Include in policy: Use youth-friendly (sugar-coated) terminologies on the means of grace.

Works of Piety Public Worship Lord's supper Prayer Reading and studying scripture Christian Conferencing Fasting or abstinence

Works of Mercy Feeding the hungry Clothing the naked Caring for the sick Visiting the jails and prisons Sheltering the homeless Welcoming the stranger Peacemaking Acting for common good
