Activity #2: THE HUMAN FACE

CONTENTS:
Symmetry in the human face. Proportions in the human face. Inverted drawing (Betty Edwards). Expressive deformations (anamorphosis). Techniques of transferring drawings : Grids. Saturated colors: primaries & secundaries. The expressiveness of color. Artistic media (tempera paint).

ACTIVITY 2.A.:
(To do before explaining the unit).

In a standard A4 sheet:
Draw a human face copying the portrait of Clarn (image A) trying to get big similarity to the original.

ACTIVITY 2.B.: (To do before explaining the unit). In another A4: This time copy the face placing upsidedown the original. ACTIVITY 2.C.: In another A4: Draw image B after teacher explains the basic proportions in human face. Must use a grid. ACTIVITY 2.D.: Draw image B using a deformated grid, to get an anamorphosized image.

In an A3 standard sheet draw a portrait or auto-portrait. Then, colour it with saturated colors.
