Nylon Casing Grading Criteria

A Grade Casings must meet all the criteria below to be classified as A casing. a) Manufactured maximum 3 years before current year. b) Must have remaining threads, do not have to be even wear but no visible nylon allowed. c) Not more than 1 nail hole allowed. d) No injury to the casing (no protruding injuries) both inside and outside. e) Do not have any sidewall injuries f) Do not have cracks on sidewall due to weathering and rubber fatigue. B Grade Casings must meet all the criteria below to be classified as B casing. a) Manufactured maximum 4 years before current year. b) Not more than 2 nail holes allowed. c) Light external injuries acceptable and must be repairable without significant impairment to casing quality. d) Do not have any sidewall injuries e) Do not have cracks on sidewall due to weathering and rubber fatigue. C Grade Casings must meet all the criteria below to be classified as C casing. a) Radial Casings not acceptable in this grade. Nylon casings in this grade can ONLY be retreaded by Hotcure. b) Nylon casings retreaded not more than once. c) Non excessive nail holes. d) Light external injuries acceptable and must be repairable without significant impairment to casing quality. e) Do not have cracks on sidewall due to weathering and rubber fatigue.
