IQChart is a multi-language patient management information system based on the World Health Organization patient registers. It collects critical information and longitudinal data from Ministry and clinic records, then automatically generates essential information for care, analysis, or donor reporting. Used in more than 120 clinics in Rwanda and Guyana, it is a simple, efficient patient monitoring and reporting tool for low-capacity sites. IQGeo links data from local partner treatment facilities to geographical information, mapping patient communities and health center locations. It maps catchment areas, planned expansion of health services, and more.

IQSMS is a mobile health data collection tool that helps communities and clinical staff gather and report information in rural areas with low resources. Data is easily entered on any brand of mobile phone using easy user prompts. Data is then sent to a central database for aggregation and analysis. The central server performs a quality check to ensure completeness and accuracy of the data and alerts the user if there is a problem. IQSMS can be configured to collect any kind of information with specific data validation checks.

IQSolutions Success
In Nyamasheke, Rwanda, Kibogora Hospital serves nearly 700 patients on HIV treatment. It has seen improved health outcomes since introducing IQChart. Before, we faced a big problem identifying patients who were missing appointments. Now at any moment, we can find out, said Jean Claude Nishimwe, a community outreach support officer. We found that many people were very far from the hospital. We also learned that some patients didnt understand why it is important for them to follow the treatment regimen. Based on open source technologies, Futures informatics solutions are scalable, modular, easily customizable, and uniquely engineered for the developing world with minimal infrastructure and training requirements.
