WRITING: -I can discuss the 6 + 1 Traits specifically Voice. LANGUAGE ARTS: -I have learned new vocabulary and can use it in my writing and speaking. -I can read and understand -I can monitor my comprehension. -I understand possessive nouns. -I can discuss the authors purpose. Was it to persuade, inform or educate?? -I can use a dictionary! MATH: -I understand measurement. -I can use a ruler to measure. -I can figure the perimeter of an object. -I understand how to find the area of a rectangle or square. -I understand diameter and circumference. SPELLING: WE HAVE NO SPELLING TEST THIS WEEK DUE TO THE SHORT WEEK!! If you have any extra small toys at home, PLEASE send them in. Our Smile Shop is getting low. :) Thank you for contributing! -I can write a thoughtful and organized paragraph about a given topic. -I can reread and edit my work. -I understand VOICE. SCIENCE: -I will learn about the solar system. -I can name the 8 planets. -I can state several facts about Venus. -I can use the internet to research a planet and post facts on kidblog.
