1. At Anfield: 8 wins, Swansea 0 wins, 2 Draws
(League only).
2. Overall: Liverpool 10 wins, Swansea 6 wins, 4 Draws.
3. The clubs last met in the league in 1982-83 when
Liverpool won both games by a 3-0 scoreline. At Anfield
Ian Rush, Sammy Lee and David Fairclough scored in the
second half.
4. The Reds are unbeaten in the 10 league meetings at
Anfield, winning eight and have kept six clean sheets.
They have scored each time and only once in the first
meeting in February 1955 have they not scored more
than goal.
5. Liverpool have scored 48 goals against Swansea in
15 meetings here in all competitions and have
conceded just seven.
6. The Reds and the Swans last met at Anfield in 1990
with Liverpool winning 8-0 in a F.A. Cup Third Round
Replay with Ian Rush scoring a hat-trick.
7. The only other hat-trick scored by a Liverpool player
against todays visitors came in November 1961 when
Roger Hunt hit three in a 5-0 league win at Anfield.
That hat-trick came in the Reds biggest ever league
victory against the Swans
8. Liverpool have never failed to score against Swansea at
Anfield in the 15 meetings here.
9. The last game Liverpool ever played in Division Two came
against Swansea in May 1962 with the Welshmen winning
4-2 at the Vetch Field. In that game Roger Hunt netted his
41st league goal of the season still a club record.
10. Craig Bellamy played twice for Cardiff against Swansea
in the Championship last season winning one and losing
one even managing to fire the only goal of the game in
the meeting at Swansea.
11. Craig Bellamy could make his 50th appearance for
Liverpool today.
12. Liverpools next goal will be their 50th scored in the
Premier League since Kenny Dalglish returned as
manager in January.
13. If the Reds avoid defeat they will equal their longest
unbeaten run since Kenny returned in January (8 games).
14. Pepe Reinas next clean sheet will be his 150th for the
club in all competitions, making him only the third Reds
goalkeeper to achieve the feat following Ray Clemence
and Bruce Grobbelaar.
15. He will make his 163rd consecutive league appearance
for the club only Phil Neal, Chris Lawler, Ray Clemence
and Bruce Grobbelaar have made more.
16. Dirk Kuyts next league goal will see him become the
5th Dutchman to score 50 goals in the Premier League
following Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ruud van
Nistelrooy, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie.
17. In the last 109 league games at Anfield in which the Reds
have scored the first goal of the game they have lost only
once to Arsenal in December 2009. In that time won 91
and drawn 17.
18. Swansea have scored five times in their 10 league visits
to Anfield.
19. The Swans have won once in their 15 visits to Anfield in
all competitions. In 1964 they beat the Reds 2-1 in a
F.A. Cup Quarter-Final tie. At the time Swansea were in
Division Two.
